Floodcore changes
Hi everyone, we're very excited to announce we're working on Floodcore again!
First of all, we'd like to thank each and everyone of you who played our little game. We've read all reviews and comments, and it's always a pleasure to come back to them. You are the reason we're coming back to make Floodcore into a full game!
We cannot thank you enough!
So let's get into it: What have we planned for the game?
We have big plans and ambitions:
A lot more content with dozens of puzzles,
More life and immersive interactions,
A proper storyline and lore.
So far, we have planned roughly 10 different areas, spanning several hours of content. We want to create a vibrant world with a lot of variety in environments and architecture. Each with different colors, moods... and mechanics!
We've expanded on the main mechanic, the swap, and want to add new ways for you to play with it.
We won't spoil much right now, but here is a sneak peek:
And yes you will be able to sit on benches (finally!)
We'll show more content in the future, and of course we'll address the issues we had with the demo, and aim for a more polished experience.
We want to be transparent with you at all times during production (we won't spoil the game too much though :p).
We got back to Floodcore about 2 months ago, we've made a good amount of pre-production and started working on a new level. We're sitting at 20~25m of gameplay, but we're hitting a roadblock.
We need to fund the game in order to work on it full-time.
There are 5 of us working on the game, and we estimate about a year of production to make the full game with our ambitions. We're getting ready to contact publishers, but there's a chance it might fail, given the state of the industry.
Either way, we want to make Floodcore into a full game. This project is very dear to us, and we really want to bring it to life for all of you.
As some of you suggested, we are considering a Kickstarter campaign, especially if we get no external funding. But even if we successfully launch a Kickstarter, it is not likely to fund the whole project, so we're carefully thinking about how to do it.
There is a risk that Floodcore may not be released for quite a while, but we will keep working on it no matter what.
You are now up to date with our situation, from this point onwards we'll try to communicate on the project regularly. We are creating a Floodcore community Discord server for future development updates, feel free to join if you want to chat with us about the game!

Thank you for your support and for your patience. We'd love to hear your feedback on this, and hope to come back with good news soon!
