Five Nights at Roner's: Remastered changes
Let me just start off by easing any possible concerns. FNaR 3 is NOT cancelled. That's not what this post is for lmfao.
I'm here to give a little update on what's happening development-wise for FNaR 3. It's been a while without any updates that aren't just teaser trailers, and I figured I should be giving you guys a little more information on what I've been up to.
First of all, let me just say that FNaR 3 is going to be a LOT bigger in scope than 1 and 2. It's packed full of content, and the overall plans are looking good. That being said... the game is gonna take quite a while. I know this might be disappointing for some, but trust me when I say that I do personally think it's worth it. I'm a solo developer, and these things take time.
I am working on polishing out the main features of the night section of the game. (The traditional fnaf-style parts.) But the other half of gameplay will revolve around an RPG-like story game, with multiple endings, different characters to talk to, etc.
(Little teaser image :D)
This part will be especially time consuming. The original plan (Back in August 2024) was to make a full open-world RPG where you would take missions from certain characters, choose your alliances, etc. This ended up being WAY too big in scope and wouldn't have been feasible for a single developer. That combined with the fact that the hard drive FNaR 3's files were stored on ended up breaking, and I had to halt its development. That's why FNaR: Remastered came about--I wanted something to make quickly to satisfy anybody that wanted more content, and it was a way for me to use some of the assets/code I had recovered from the corrupted FNaR 3 files.
Anyways, I've now changed several things related to the story, and I think it'll flow much better now.
I'm getting to a point where I'm starting to consider playtesting. Since this game is going to be much larger than the previous two, (The second one was already riddled with bugs, which I can't fix since its source files are on that broken hard drive), I think it'd be wise to gather a couple playtesters to check for bugs, give feedback, and give me insight into how players will react to some of the new content.
If you're interested, let me know! I already know there are a few people interested in playtesting, but I'd love to have more people lined up for when I decide to begin. You can reach me at the following e-mail address: redshiftinteractive.business@gmail.com
I'd like to thank everybody that has, and continues to, support Five Nights at Roner's. This series, though just a shitpost, has built up my skills as a programmer, and I'm eternally grateful to everybody that shows me support.
I'll end this announcement with a couple development screenshots ;D
