Fishing Online Major Update Preview: Unified Day Maps and New Fishing Pattern 4

We are currently preparing the next major update for Fishing Online. This update focuses on two important goals: improving overall convenience and making fishing battles more exciting and strategic.

The first change is the unification of day and night maps.

Previously, some fishing areas were separated into daytime and nighttime versions in order to divide daytime fish and nocturnal fish. However, we received feedback that this structure made moving between areas and accessing certain fish less convenient than intended.

With this update, Newbie Zone, Pirami Zone, Blue Hole Zone, and Sunfish Temple Zone will each be unified into a single map. After the change, both daytime fish and nighttime fish will be distributed within the same map.

The second major change is the new Fishing Pattern 4 battle system.

This new battle pattern introduces a fishing line tension system. Players will need to manage line tension while struggling against the fish, creating a more dynamic and strategic battle experience.

It may take a day or two to get used to the new system. However, once you become familiar with it, the feeling of fighting against the fish becomes much stronger, and the overall tension of the battle increases significantly.

Because the new battle system is more active, potion consumption may increase compared to the current version. To support this, we are also preparing additional potion items and more quest rewards that provide recovery items. We also plan to improve quick slot functionality so that potions can be used during fishing battles.

We are currently focusing on feature testing and balance adjustments. We expect to share more details around mid June.

This update will be an important step toward making Fishing Online’s core fishing gameplay more exciting. We hope you look forward to it.
