changedSo let's go over what we've changed!
changedSmoother Camera and Controls One of the more frequent comments we got was to fix the choppy camera on the player. We understand that these types of games need to have smooth controls to make the cozy feeling even better. So We prioritized that going forward. Implementing satisfying and straightforward controller support is our priority.
addedRevamped Opening Scene Another common feedback we got was improving the start of the game. So we are changing it completely, now we made a new and improved starting scene, removing the slow paced dialogue with a voiced over cutscene.
changedFishing UI Overhaul A lot of people found fishing UI a bit confusing, and as a main mechanic of the game it was really concerning. To change it we implemented a nicer tutorial, as well as more inputs of what needs to be done.
addedNew Activities: Boat Races In addition to fish-offs, you can now compete in boat-offs! Race across unique island tracks, enter tournaments, and upgrade your boat for better performance.
changedWe’ve also decided to reduce the number of side missions with dialogue, and instead focus on gameplay oriented missions. What that means is that instead of having long conversations with characters with different choices, there will be more fish catching auctions, building to help other villagers.

So let's go over what we've changed!

We’ve received a lot of feedback regarding the story feeling awkward so we’re changing the dialogue to feel a lot more alive and lifelike. Since with the demo we were rushing to prepare everything for Steam Next Fest, we acknowledge that we didn’t really put the desired effort in and that it needs to be implemented correctly in order to feel a lot better.

The story line will stay the same as per plan, but the dialogues will change just a bit.

We’ve also decided to reduce the number of side missions with dialogue, and instead focus on gameplay oriented missions. What that means is that instead of having long conversations with characters with different choices, there will be more fish catching auctions, building to help other villagers.

The reason for this is to reduce the number of fetch missions with dialogue, and instead offer a reward for being a good fisherman and a treasure hunter.

Finding the right balance between different types of missions is key to making the game feel a lot better.

Early Access is Coming! We’re thrilled to announce that we’re closing in on our early access release! With that, the demo will soon be taken offline to pave the way for this next step. If you haven’t tried the demo yet, don’t worry the full experience is just around the corner.
