We have Left The June Next Fest, We Are Not Part of It Any More

We want to share an important update about Firva and our Steam Next Fest plans.

We know many of you were expecting to see us in June, and we’re truly sorry for the change. But last night we decided to opt out of NextFest. To answer why, please read this:

As many of you know, we participated in the June edition of Steam Next Fest and were really excited for it.

After releasing the demo, many have played our Demo, which was very heartwarming to us. Some liked it, some disliked it, but interestingly enough, all of them were saying one thing to us: that our game is so undercooked and if it goes on Next Fest with this quality, it will be a waste for this game and a missed opportunity. So, after reviewing the feedback carefully, we came to the conclusion that the current version is not yet the best representation of the game.

Some players saw the potential in Firva, which means a lot to us, but the overall feedback made it clear that the demo still needs more work in several important areas. We tried to address as much as we could in time, but some late changes introduced new issues as well.

Because Steam Next Fest is such an important opportunity, we do not want to use it on a build that does not properly represent where we want Firva to be. So we’ve made the difficult decision to opt out of the June event and aim for the October edition instead.

We know many of you were expecting to see us in June, and we’re truly sorry for the change.

The demo will remain available on Steam, and your feedback is still incredibly valuable to us. Over the coming days, we’ll be focusing on the biggest issues and continuing to improve the experience.

Firva is still in active development, and this decision is about giving the game a better chance to make the impression we want it to make.
