BIG UPDATE for FIRE HERO:

We've been working hard since release, as the community feedback gave us a lot to work on. We took some time because we wanted to update the game across several key areas:

STEAMDECK compatibility, as any other controllers and input system (Rog Ally, xbox controller, playstation... etc)

Adding more ACCESSIBILITY, especially in the first levels where tutorials and dialogues didn't explain player actions clearly enough.

Adding DIFFICULTY settings to allow casual players to avoid certain hazards or adjust the game to their preferences.

Adding CONTENT, including new cinematics, a SECRET ALTERNATE ENDING triggered by specific events, and improvements to the SPEEDRUN system.

Various BUG fixes.

Update of the DEMO that was from February and had very old graphics and gameplay systems !

PATCH NOTES:

Accessibility:

  • Level 2 World 1 dialogue has been changed to better explain how players can reset a zone without resetting the entire level

  • UI after Level 2 dialogue now highlights the input for the reset option

  • Difficulty menu added to options, allowing players to toggle parameters and choose which hazards to avoid

  • New secret option in the menu, available after finishing the game

  • Tutorial level now explains gamepad inputs and autosave functionality

  • Speedrun system improvements

  • Scubadive sound and diminished music when in water, to explain to the player that he/she is breathing underwater

  • Improving some Level design for better playability

Content:

  • New secret cinematics triggered after completing the game if specific conditions are met

  • New cinematics added after completing the apartment in World 1

  • Full localization of all new cinematics

  • New achievements added to the game

Bug Fixes:

  • Critical bug fixed where demo and full game shared the same save file, causing conflicts

  • Fixed cinematics not playing properly

  • Fixed issue where dropping an extinguisher on an empty one would sometimes empty the full one when not leaving a specific trigger zone

  • Camera now displays in 16:9 format, even on ultrawide screens, to prevent level design issues and game-breaking bugs

  • Fixed various level design issues: waterfalls too short to refresh the player, extinguisher bugs while gliding, cinematics triggering countdown twice and making it go twice as fast

  • Increased input deadzone to allow players with poorly calibrated controllers to play without their character moving left automatically

  • Improved boss behavior

  • Fixed bugged achievements

  • Level design fix to improve the player game session

  • General improvements and other bug fixes throughout the game
