In short
you can now type in any language with any keyboard layout. So all those "where is the damn ';' on my keyboard?" moments should finally be gone.
The longer story
when we first started implementing input for The Final Sentence, we planned to support only a few languages and keyboard layouts. So we carefully mapped input based on the physical keys you pressed on your keyboard and this movement was also translated to the typewriter on the table. This is why, for example, the numpad didn't work.
It was by design because
There is no numpad on the typewriter.
