Based on your feedback, we’ve rolled out a set of quick balance adjustments ahead of the Festive Fury: Jubilation Ranked Event, kicking off today at 17:00
Ranked Events
Champion slots increased from 1 to 3 More room at the top, with more players earning Champion placement in ranked events.
Balance Changes
Niko
Shockwave / Overdrive damage reduced Damage modifier reduced from 2.0 to 1.5 This is effectively a 50% damage reduction, bringing Niko’s burst damage more in line with other fighters.
Uppercut (All Characters)
Uppercut range reduced by 50% The effective range now matches standard punch range.
This reinforces Uppercut as a close range commitment rather than a long range catch-all.
Uppercut Design Philosophy
Uppercut is designed as a high impact, high risk option with clear strengths and weaknesses:
A surprise tool to punish players who are not blocking
Opens up multiple combo routes
Can be used to knock down opponents and gain advantage
Removes Reversal charge from blocking opponents
The only universal anti-air attack shared across all fighters
However, Uppercut carries real risk:
If you miss, you are vulnerable during the landing animation
If the opponent blocks, you are left open and punishable
This update tightens its range to better reflect its intended risk versus reward balance. As always, keep the feedback coming.
