2.0.0 Update - Massive Update

The 2.0.0 Update is here! My fiancee created new portraits and a new fighting UI. She also recommended a new font for the game. Overall the game looks much better now!

Overall the game looks much better now!

There are now 18 new story sections and I fixed a couple of bugs that were still present in the game.

Additionally, I did go through all story sections again to fix typos, improve the wording and more.

  • All new portraits!

  • New graphics for the fighting UI

  • Increased the size of the portraits

  • Increased the size of the health bar to better correspond to the bigger portraits with the added benefit to see incremental changes better

  • Changed the layout and size of the text

  • Added 18 story sections

  • Added screenshake for successfully ramming and getting rammed

  • Did go through all story sections in English and German and improved many of them

  • Added an option to disable screenshake

  • At a few markets you can now improve the shield you carry

  • Increased the damage dealt through shield training when ramming

  • The game features now a light encumberance system - shields, helmets, armor, greaves count towards it and if you don't have enough strength you get a small malus on hitting and dodging, getting up, getting your weapon - if you don't wear any armor you get a minor bonus on these

  • Fixed a bug in the German localization when you did go to the menu while levelling it still showed the weapon training and shield training options

  • Fixed a bug where the player could ram the enemy or attack defensively after loading a save even though the player didn't have a shield until the enemy actually hit him with an attack that also harms the shield of the player

  • Fixed a bug where the enemy would pratically never miss you when the enemy tried to ram the player making ramming extremely overpowered for the enemy side

  • Fixed a bug which showed wrong percentages when you attacked the legs of your opponent while on the ground

  • When you change the sound volume you now directly hear an example

  • Removed a few unnecessary spaces

  • Increased the default font size

  • Removed the bigger font option

  • Moved the language selection from the start screen to the options

  • The exhaust attack is now stronger when your enemy isn't already exhausted

  • Increased the starting value of the shield training from 0 to 5 (this only affects new saves)

  • Reduced the amount of health you lose when you encounter the three bandits before the fight

  • Increased the amount of save points in the game to make it less punishing

  • Added a minor variation for a story section

  • Added a stat point increase for one of the jobs

  • Added a missing stat point increase for a particular branch of one job

  • Fixed a bug relating to the mask. You would still wear it in some scenarios in the next fight.

  • Fixed a wrong shield durability in the market section of one particular shield (but it was only off by 1)

  • Fixed a bug where a random value should be but it took the last random value

  • Improved randomness when the game decides if you get an extra point in your level up due to your intelligence

  • Balanced the market, increased the price of several items or lessened their value, added a few extra options

  • Reduced CPU usage in the story sections

  • Improved some of the enemies and weakened one a little

  • Increased the price of the best weapon of the game

  • Changed the haggle values when you negotiate it down

  • Fixed a bug related to buying the best weapon of the game where you would only get a better price with the best charisma value even though there are increments to it

  • Fixed a potential bug where you couldn't go further if you can't afford the weapon (this was not possible before I increased the price)

  • Edits to the credits

  • Minor additional code improvements
