addedA new update arrives to raise the morale of all soldiers, commanders and governors! THE MORALE UPDATE! Battles are about to get much more dynamic and chaotic in this new update. We've introduced a new mechanic; Morale . Now during a battle there are different factors which affect a unit's morale such as being surrounded by enemies, taking heavy damage, being in a defensive position or another new addition to the game, being near an officer unit . Morale can have a positive or negative impact, increasing a unit's reaction time, speed and more importantly, another new mechanic; Accuracy. Units now have a chance of missing shots when under heavy stress. Another important factor is morale damage . Every unit attack carries morale damage, including melee attacks, with artillery fire dealing a lot more morale damage than others. If units get hit from flanks or rear they will receive a higher morale damage than from the front. So how do you keep your troops morale up? keep them near each other in tight formations, keep your officer unit nearby and use its Rally ability which raises morale, position them in defensive positions such as woods, rugged or urban terrain and take the enemy officer out. When your troop's morale breaks you will lose control of the unit and it will return to your base camp. If your unit is near the base camp it will restore its morale as well. We also introduce UI elements to show a troops current morale and its effects.
changedLosing Strength (the unit's health is down by half)
changedMORALE STATUS EFFECTS: Unit's morale changes the color of it's health bar and stats
changedConfident (Green): normal accuracy, normal speed, normal reaction times
changedWavering (Yellow): reduced accuracy, reduced speed, reduced reaction times
changedShaken (Orange): very low accuracy, very low speed, very low reaction times
