State of migration to Blender

Hello everyone, Eón here 👋 First of all, we apologize for the lack of updates recently. The development of Fiction Paradox 0.2 is finally going smoothly, but the road to get here was quite bumpy!

changedFirst of all, we apologize for the lack of updates recently. The development of Fiction Paradox 0.2 is finally going smoothly, but the road to get here was quite bumpy! As you already know, we're migrating our 3D pipeline from Daz to Blender; even though this was a much needed upgrade, the process was slower and much more tedious than we anticipated.
addedAlthough I knew that switching to Blender would massively improve my workflow in the long run, I had to admit it was mentally exhausting... so much that at some point I even considered going back to Daz. The Blender community may be massive and very helpful, but it is still a whole new piece of software and I often didn't even know how to ask the right questions, nor did I have the time to watch full courses on specific topics.
addedThe good news is that I'm finally working as comfortably as I used to last year (kind of). Unfortunately I can't show you what we've been cooking these days, because it already involves shots of the next chapter and some of the new love interests. 🤭

Hello everyone, Eón here 👋

First of all, we apologize for the lack of updates recently. The development of Fiction Paradox 0.2 is finally going smoothly, but the road to get here was quite bumpy! As you already know, we're migrating our 3D pipeline from Daz to Blender; even though this was a much needed upgrade, the process was slower and much more tedious than we anticipated.

Personally speaking, I had never used Blender before, so I had to learn the intricacies of the program from zero, just like I did with Daz back in 2024. Using a great tool called Diffeomorphic, I could easily import our assets into Blender, but I quickly ran into a lot of problems that had to be manually solved.

Although I knew that switching to Blender would massively improve my workflow in the long run, I had to admit it was mentally exhausting... so much that at some point I even considered going back to Daz. The Blender community may be massive and very helpful, but it is still a whole new piece of software and I often didn't even know how to ask the right questions, nor did I have the time to watch full courses on specific topics.

The good news is that I'm finally working as comfortably as I used to last year (kind of). Unfortunately I can't show you what we've been cooking these days, because it already involves shots of the next chapter and some of the new love interests. 🤭

From now on, we will go back to posting frequent updates. Thank you for sticking with us in our journey. <3
