Welcome to the sixth Campfire Checkpoint!
Hi Fellows,
This Campfire Checkpoint is focused on some of the bigger changes and features coming with the next Season. Today we will be talking about our updated stance on progression and timegating, giving you a first look at Hero Customization, and highlighting some of the amazing creators in our community.
So grab a snack, maybe a mug of something warm, and settle in. Welcome to the Campfire Checkpoint.
UPDATE: Timegating
Over the past weeks, we have spent a lot of time reviewing feedback and discussing how progression should feel long term. After looking it over internally, we agree that heavy timegating is not the healthiest direction for the game.
Our goal is to let players engage with the content at their own pace while still preserving meaningful progression and challenge. As a result, we are moving away from the proposed timegating systems.
This does, however, come with some important changes.
Without a timegate in place, progression through the Leagues will naturally happen much faster. To compensate for this, overall difficulty progression will be reinstated more aggressively, meaning later Leagues will become challenging far earlier than before. This also means there will be a larger jump in difficulty between Leagues, alongside a way more noticeable increase in challenge within each League itself. A difficulty 1 Sailor's Abyss will be significantly easier than a Sailor's Abyss 3, gear will be important as well as meaningful group coordination.
Pinnacle Dungeons will also continue to have unlock requirements tied to specific progression criteria. We still want these activities to feel aspirational and earned rather than immediately accessible from day one. As it currently stands, Pinnacle Dungeons will remain having a weekly loot lockout. You will still be able to run the dungeon as many times as you want throughout the week, but the main rewards will only be granted once per reset.
We believe this approach strikes a healthier balance between player freedom, replayability, and long-term progression, while still ensuring that difficult content remains rewarding and relevant. All of this will be looked at closely in the Early Access Season 3 test so we're really looking forward to your feedback!
FIRST LOOK - Hero Customization
The new Season will bring you (almost) full freedom to make your Heroes your very own!
Our goal with Hero Customization is to give players more opportunities to express themselves, stand out in social spaces, and show off their accomplishments in a way that feels personal.
For a long time, Hero sets have been designed as complete outfits, but with this new system you will be able to mix and match individual pieces to create entirely new looks. Want to combine the helmet from one set with the armor of another? Go for it. Prefer a more grounded look, or something completely chaotic? That is up to you.
Cant wait to see what you make!
Here are some of our favorite combos from the office:
Please note that this is still an early iteration of the feature. The Hero sets were not originally created with full mix-and-match customization in mind, so some combinations may result in awkward clipping or visual issues. We have already fixed the most egregious outliers, and we will continue polishing the system as development progresses.
MEET SOME OF OUR CREATORS
As you might know, a while ago we launched a new initiative where you can sign up to be part of our Creator Program. If you missed it and are interested, you can still apply by filling out this form.
Invites will be rolling out in waves, so do not worry if you have not heard back yet or think you have missed your chance. In the meantime, here is a short introduction from some more of our creators. Be sure to go show them some love!
Chronikz:
"I'm Chronikz, mainly playing any tank providing the biggest advantage to my team to achieve the highest possible spot on the leaderboard and sometimes dabbling as a DPS.
I mainly focus on creating content that helps players improve by highlighting the game's deeper mechanics such as efficient gearing strategies and combinations, optimized routing and nuanced gameplay interactions that often go unnoticed.
What keeps me hooked on Fellowship is the mix of competitive depth, teamwork and the constant room to improve and adapt together with the community. With my extensive background in ARPGs and WoW, I feel exceptionally well prepared for the gearing changes arriving in EAS3 and I'm excited to explore and refine the strongest possible solutions for the community and provide live help and reviews during my streams."

Pouf:
"Hey everyone, I'm Pouf, a 29-year-old French streamer and self-proclaimed average player. No world-first races here, just good vibes.
I came from games like WoW, LoL and CS:GO, always as a casual… never the sweatiest in the room, and honestly fine with that. I started streaming because I kept finding myself playing solo, and figured I wasn't the only one... Turns out I wasn't !
What I love most is creating events and custom concepts inside games: finding a different way to play and bringing some extra fun to the community in the process. That's exactly what drew me to Fellowship when I discovered it through word of mouth during Pre-Season 1. No fluff, no endless quest chains… You log in, you queue, you smash mobs (or get smashed), and you're having fun within minutes. That simplicity hit different.
I enjoy playing most classes since it lets me fill any role and keep groups running smoothly, but Ardeos holds a special place in my heart for now.
I recently launched my first Fellowship community event, and the positive feedback made me want to push things even further with many more events and original concepts in future seasons. The main goal behind all of them is to keep the game fun and active even after the early-season rush, by giving players new ways to play, compete, and enjoy the game together. Most events will happen live on Twitch (FR/EN), with highlights posted on YouTube (original audio with English subtitles).
Whether you're a hardcore player or a total casual, you're welcome at the stream. Drop by anytime!"
