Dev Diary #3 - Join The Playtest next week!

Dear Cult Leaders, TedRed team here. September is already coming to an end, and we’re not only fixing all the bugs in the world like crazy, but also adding new features to the game we would like to test with you.

addedJOINING TO ONGOING GAME AS A SPECTATORNow you can connect to the game and watch cultists fight for their lives! You'll have to wait until players finish the match. Afterward you’ll join the lobby as one of the active players automatically. We’re adding this to help discover games for sole players, who wish to join the random party but don’t want to catch them in the lobby.

addedTRY OUT TUTORIALAs we mentioned before we added a tutorial match to the game. We would like you to try it out and say what you think. Hopefully for newer players the tutorial would be comprehensive enough to play against other players knowingly.

The next playtest kicks off Friday, 27 September 2024 18:00 16:00 UTC (9:00 AM PDT, 12:00 PM EDT) and continues until Monday, 30 September 2024 16:00 UTC (9:00 AM PDT, 12:00 PM EDT).

TRY OUT TUTORIAL

As we mentioned before we added a tutorial match to the game. We would like you to try it out and say what you think. Hopefully for newer players the tutorial would be comprehensive enough to play against other players knowingly.

DECK BUILDING FEATURE

This is an experimental feature we would like you to try out. We’re not yet sure it would go into the game on release, but essentially each player has their own deck with special cards that they are allowed to draw from. The common deck has only cards to move your cultists, so you need to choose which cards you prefer to use on your turn. This also important because after the common deck is depleted, the discard is shuffled and all cards you have used will be available to draw for your opponents.

We just can't stop our artist. He paints and paints and paints..... But it's beautiful! Now you have a choice of almost 29 avatars for any taste. Steam post image
