changedNew Gameplay Feature: Enemy Armor & Gun Infusions!Weapons can now be loaded with certain Mycha crystals to destroy enemy armor. If you have not picked up a crystal previously for a gun you simply need to walk over it to pick it up. If you already have a crystal in your gun, you will need to interact with it to switch out your existing crystal. Steam post image When you have obtained this crystal press Y on your keyboard to toggle usage of your armor penetrating rounds. You will notice your gun gains a pink outline and your weapon icon background will turn pink to indicate how much ammo you have left. Steam post image Normal weapon ammo has no effect on armored enemies and requires these new crystals to deal damage until their shield is broken. We have included a visual indicator to the enemy and your hitmarker when you hit an enemy with armor. Steam post image Additionally there is a large visual effect with sound cues when the shield is broken (see blue particles in the screenshot below). Steam post image For now, this new feature is limited to the desert boss but will be incorporated into new levels and the tutorial in a later update closer to full release. Here's the other changes we have added with our dev work in May:

Functional Changes

  • Desert level boss encounter has been reworked to use the new shield ammo & has new phases

  • Bosses now have health bars at the top of the player's HUD. Steam post image

  • Lucas's heal beacon ability has been reworked to use a new asset and has animations. (We have plans to make this ability a throwable orb that expands on impact with the ground which will be enabled in a future update once some bugs are fixed.)

Visual Changes

  • Fixed large visual effects on the Crystalink which would move around the entire lobby area.

  • Captain Dean's Warrior Spirit texture has changed to appear more ghostly.

Bug Fixes

  • Player companions (Warrior's Spirit and skeletons) will now prioritize enemies actively attacking the player that spawned them over other enemies.

Miscellaneous Changes

  • Various gameplay elements are properly synced in multiplayer mode.

  • Added French to the list of supported languages (UI and subtitles, no voices are translated)
