changedIt's a global event system and we decide when the event happens. Through our actions we influence how close we are to reaching it. We can see in the main menu at all times how close we are. It can be affected by many player actions and behaviors in-game. We can get closer, or further, depending on how we play.
addedIf a player selects the Adjudicator, Residents will face him in a NEW GAME MODE . A lot will change during the match and a lot of what you know about the game goes out the window. Things will also get much scarier. And there will be EXP and Cash bonuses.
changedYou can think of him as the final boss of the game. He is the original, real Reaper, as he was meant to be before I had to tone down the horror elements to better suit the PVP experience.
addedBecause he was too oppressive he needed to be removed from the game early on. But now he's back, only for an hour, every now and then. Residents will receive some extra help in the new game mode, but this guy doesn't mess around.
addedI ran simulations but I can't be sure how accurate they are until I see the system at work with all of you playing. For most of the test I'll be monitoring the numbers without messing with them, but if we struggle to hit it I will trigger it manually so you can experience the new game mode at least once during the test.

WHAT IS JUDGMENT HOUR?
It's a global event system and we decide when the event happens. Through our actions we influence how close we are to reaching it. We can see in the main menu at all times how close we are. It can be affected by many player actions and behaviors in-game. We can get closer, or further, depending on how we play.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE TRIGGER IT?
A special Reaper called The Adjudicator becomes playable, only for an hour.
If a player selects the Adjudicator, Residents will face him in a NEW GAME MODE. A lot will change during the match and a lot of what you know about the game goes out the window. Things will also get much scarier. And there will be EXP and Cash bonuses.
Once the hour passes, Adjudicator goes away, the system resets and we start from 0. It's not a one time thing. We can trigger it and unlock Adjudicator and the game mode again.
THE ADJUDICATOR
You can think of him as the final boss of the game. He is the original, real Reaper, as he was meant to be before I had to tone down the horror elements to better suit the PVP experience.
Because he was too oppressive he needed to be removed from the game early on. But now he's back, only for an hour, every now and then. Residents will receive some extra help in the new game mode, but this guy doesn't mess around.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CAN'T HIT JUDGMENT HOUR DURING THIS TEST?
I ran simulations but I can't be sure how accurate they are until I see the system at work with all of you playing. For most of the test I'll be monitoring the numbers without messing with them, but if we struggle to hit it I will trigger it manually so you can experience the new game mode at least once during the test.
