FC Mafioso: Football Dynasty Manager changes
What is FC Mafioso?
Build a club. Shape a manager. Bend the rules.
FC Mafioso: Football Dynasty Manager is a text-based football management game where you take charge of a small procedurally generated club and try to turn it into a long-term dynasty.
Manage transfers, youth development, finances, stadium growth, press conferences, derby days, and weekly club-life scenarios in a world full of random events, branching storylines, and shady opportunities. Every career unfolds differently, with new clubs, players, names, rivalries, and off-pitch drama in every save.
Start in the lower leagues, survive the early years, and build toward promotion, silverware, and a lasting football legacy over a career of up to 20 seasons.
What kind of a football manager is this?
This is a fast-paced, highly replayable football management sim built around procedural storytelling and weekly decision-making.
You are not just setting tactics. You are running the whole club.
Build and manage a procedurally generated football club
Play through up to 20 seasons
Handle transfers, youth promotions, finances, reputation, and stadium upgrades
Choose your captain, shape your matchday squad, and learn new formations
Develop your manager through traits, long-term choices, and experience
Watch unknown youngsters become stars, veterans, or expensive mistakes
Weekly football drama
Every week brings new scenarios that can affect your club’s money, reputation, stamina, suspicion, and more. Some are small moments of club life. Others evolve into bigger season-long questlines with branching outcomes.
Expect:
sponsor pressure and shameless product placement
emergency supporter fundraising
fan shop growth and matchday business
press spin and media narratives
hooligan problems, local politics, and club scandals
wonderkids, leaks to the press, and dressing-room trouble
heated derby weeks with special rivalry events
Fast, exciting matchdays
Matches are presented through a compact live commentary match centre, built to keep the season moving while still making every result matter.
Prepare for the next game through your club offices:
scouting reports
intensive training
recovery and massage
temporary in-match boosts
matchday mind games and press conference choices
Visit Little Sicily
When clean football is not enough, there are other options.
In Little Sicily, the local mafia offers “special assistance” to ambitious managers willing to take risks. Place illegal bets, bribe the F.A., buy protection, intimidate opponents, or use performance-enhancing shortcuts, but every favor raises suspicion, and sooner or later the bill may come due.
You can ignore the mafia completely and play the game as a more traditional football manager experience, or embrace the underworld and see how far it takes you.

Where are we with the development in April 2026?
I started creating the game back in 2012, and have come back to it on-and-off through the years. The game has been fully playable for well over a decade, and an early prototype version (called Mafioso Football Manager) has been a popular free download on Itch.io since its release in 2022.
After releasing my first commercial game, the well-received JRPG Whispers in the Moss in 2024, I've shifted my focus back to FC Mafioso, and now in April 2026 I can confirm that the game will get its Steam release in Q4/2026.
Since the game's core loop has been fully playable for a long time, I am currently just adding new features, tweaking the balance, improving the UI, and making the game as much fun as possible. I have a huge backlist of small and big things I still want to add before the release, and I will be spending 2026 finishing and polishing the game. My goal is to participate in the Steam Next Fest in June 2026 and offer a playable demo by then.
Some examples of things I'm currently working on include the addition of a scenario-based reserve cup tournament, season-long branching storylines, referee personalities and special derby days and derby mechanics. But the backlog is... long.
Wishlist now!
Having already released one full-scale game in the form of Whispers in the Moss in 2024, I now know what it takes to finish and ship a game, and I hope that in the end of 2026, FC Mafioso will be able to give something new and fresh to fans of football manager games.
If you like what you're seeing, don't hesitate to wishlist the game and also spread the word! Every wishlist, comment, suggestion, word of mouth will go a long way to fuel this passion project.
Let me know if you have any questions!
