We hear you!

It’s frustrating when a run stretches longer than expected and there's no way to wrap it up quickly, other than submitting.

That also goes against our original vision, since Fate’s Theater is meant to be a place to chill, not to feel pressured.

So we've released an emergency update that lets you save your run and come back to it whenever you like.

You'll now see a “ Save & Leave ” button in the in-game menu. It appears if:

  • you're playing singleplayer,

  • you've finished the tutorial, and

  • the current run has lasted more than one round.

When you load your save, you'll return to the start of the round (the moment Fate speaks). To prevent abuse, the AI opponent won't repeat the exact same moves as before.

Also, if something unexpected happens and the game closes (for any reason), it will also auto-save at the start of the last round, so you won't lose your progress.

This system is still experimental, so there may be edge cases. If anything behaves strangely, please let us know.

Thank you for choosing to spend your time in Fate’s Theater 💜
