changedFAQWill I Keep My Characters? When you connect for the first time, you'll have access to your existing characters. Once you begin playing on the beta branch, those characters will progress independently from their live-server counterparts.
changedFAQWhat's the goal of the preview? The preview will allow us to have early impressions and focus on better performances regarding the rifts. We will also use your feedback and experience to adjust the balancing and rewards coming from it.
removedFAQDo I have to grind just for progress to disappear once live? To allow you to focus on the upcoming tests and avoid having to farm, merchants are offering all the game’s weapons and armour for purchase, and we have disabled the ability to loot legendary items and other ultra-rare rewards.
addedFAQIs the content at launch already entirely available? During this first phase, the two sub-regions of Ramburg, the Barracks dungeon and the Rifts featuring the first Rift boss are available. Some of the update’s content is not yet available and will be rolled out as the test progresses (additional dungeon, second Rift boss, currencies and rewards, new weapons, jobs recipes...) depending on your feedback.
fixedFAQCan I play in my language? We strongly recommend playing in English, as some text in your language may appear in English during this phase. This will, of course, be corrected when the update is officially released.

FAQ

How do I access the Major Update Preview? The Major Update Preview will start in a newly created Public Test Branch available to Farever players. Once it is available, you'll be able to access it by following these steps:

  • Right-click Farever in your Steam Library.

  • Select Properties → Betas.

  • Choose the Public Test Branch.

Will I Keep My Characters? When you connect for the first time, you'll have access to your existing characters. Once you begin playing on the beta branch, those characters will progress independently from their live-server counterparts.

What's the goal of the preview? The preview will allow us to have early impressions and focus on better performances regarding the rifts. We will also use your feedback and experience to adjust the balancing and rewards coming from it.

Do I have to grind just for progress to disappear once live? To allow you to focus on the upcoming tests and avoid having to farm, merchants are offering all the game’s weapons and armour for purchase, and we have disabled the ability to loot legendary items and other ultra-rare rewards.

Is the content at launch already entirely available? During this first phase, the two sub-regions of Ramburg, the Barracks dungeon and the Rifts featuring the first Rift boss are available. Some of the update’s content is not yet available and will be rolled out as the test progresses (additional dungeon, second Rift boss, currencies and rewards, new weapons, jobs recipes...) depending on your feedback.

Can I play in my language? We strongly recommend playing in English, as some text in your language may appear in English during this phase. This will, of course, be corrected when the update is officially released.

How Can I Report Feedback or Bugs? You can use the Dedicated in-game button (submit a feedback). Dedicated feedback channels are also available on both Steam and Discord for discussing the preview content.

We also encourage players to keep content from the preview out of general community channels to avoid spoiling the experience for those waiting for the live release.

(You are still free to stream and share content on your own channels.)

How Long Will the Preview Last? The Major Update Preview will remain available until we're confident that its content and balance are ready for the live servers.

The Public Test Branch will remain afterward for future balancing tests and early content previews. When will the update goes live? Once we've received some early feedback, we'll be able to give an exact date for the launch on the live version. Stay tuned for that!
