Fantasy Madness: Bloodbath changes
Greetings Our Friends!
Update 1.1.0 is ready to play with some tweaks, fixes, improvements and new content!
NEW UPGRADE: NATURAL ATTRACTION
Our Beloved Mother Nature has heard you out and granted a new Upgrade called Natural Attraction.
This new power (available to be unlocked in the Upgrades menu) will increase champions’ reach of picking up mana crystal, mushrooms and gold coins making it easier and more efficient.
This upgrade has 5 levels, each increasing the champion’s reach by 20% (therefore, up to double the reach on max level!).
RUNE MERCHANT IS BACK
It turned out players became wealthy enough and had some spare coins to spend. This convinced the Rune Merchant that was present during the Early Access to return with his store and offer level 1 Greater Runes. It’s a great opportunity to efficiently get in possession of extra rune and e.g. use them in the Forge.
Rune Merchant becomes available if you completed the final stage (boss combat) of the 4th biome.
TWEAKS AND IMPROVEMENTS
Improved navigation in the Forge menu, especially when using both keyboard and mouse (alternatively gamepad and mouse);
Added tooltip pop-ups appearing next to the treasure chest buttons (Equip, Stash, Sell) that explain the purpose of specific actions. This is mostly for the new players to better understand what they can do with the item they found.
While inventory is open during a run (with `I` key or View button), pressing `Esc` key or `B` button closes the inventory screen instead of invoking Pause menu.
Phrase “Affects skill” has been removed from the descriptions of runes of Health regeneration and Stamina regeneration, as it could be misleading especially for the new players.
For artifacts related to champion skills (e.g. Napalm Nuts, Dendrologic Defibrillator etc) we added explicit information about what skill it relates to.
For Wolven Puppy skill we added a pin-location icon that indicates the puppy’s location to make it easier to track its position.
Added a dedicated sound effect played when the player picks up Barbara’s mace during the rescue quest.
Added some color formatting for rune descriptions to make it more readable.
OTHER
Ork Shamans
Decreased range of casting pentagram signs by Orkish Shamans (by around 30%), which forces them to approach closer to the champion in order to cast their spell. Thanks to that in most of the cases Orkish Shamans should be visible on the screen when casting pentagrams. In addition there appear pentagram icons over shamans’ heads. This should improve their visibility and for the new player should also make it easier to learn where the pentagrams come from. However, for proper balance, we increased the health of Orkish Shamans by around 60%.
Stranger Flower
When the Strange Flower skill reaches their max level, one of the Floral Horrors appears immediately right next to Barbara.
FIXES
FIXED: Image of a forge table in the Forge menu was occasionally becoming invisible;
FIXED: some button names (mostly in the pause menu) where missing for some players;
FIXED: clunky navigation on treasure chest action buttons when using keyboard or gamepad.
We hope you will enjoy this update and don’t forget to share your feedback so we can make Fantasy Madness: Bloodbath even better!
For Mother Nature!
