Family Reunion changes
Hi everyone, a couple weeks ago, I've been In Sao Pablo at Gamescom Latam. I was finalist for Innovation and Best Latin American game (I didn't win in any of those T_T) and the game was beautifully displayed among the other finalists. The Big Festival Nominees games were spread around the event in four sections and mine was on the Open Zone, where I shared the space with other games that allow you to shape the world around you.
Steam post image(Love this pic of Frieren playing the game. Elf's time perception meet child's time perception)
I also got interviewed by James Archer from Rock Paper Shotgun (!!) and he wrote this article that describes perfectly the game experience. You can read it here.
During the event, I met a lot of people and got feedback from the people testing it, developers and publishers which ended up in the changes for this update (more to come!). Here are the changes:
Unfolding the log - It has lots of information so I started to spread that info on other areas. Mind Notifications are now a separate thing.
Pacing:
Exploration comment only appears if it's disabled.
The introduction now waits for clicks before moving on.
Sometimes events will trigger even if you don' click anything.
Elements distribution and mouse feedback: -Made the POCKET, MIND and History sections to unfold to the top. It gives more space and allows to check the table status and your status all the time.
Table elements now present feedback when hovering. Also clicking around the table.
Clicking with the mouse around makes a tiny animation.
Added tags to define the areas (need to check the texts to standardize naming).
Bugs
Fixed a bug that caused a crash to desktop when trying to reload a game and sometimes exit (hopefully).
Gameplay
Now family interventions has one more option to choose by default.
Hopefully in the next update I'll focus more on new content. Thanks for the support! Leandro Waibe aka Waibinin
Developer of Family Reunion.
