Greetings, commanders!

We are thrilled to announce a new version of the demo, just in time for Steam Next Fest!

A lot has changed since the last demo: new levels, new mechanics, a complete interface redesign, and several quality-of-life improvements.

Important: Due to changes in several levels of World 1, saved games from the previous version are not compatible with this demo.

Here are all the new features:

New levels

We have removed the levels in World 1 that used ice turrets.

After reviewing the progression of mechanics, we decided that the ice turret fits better in a later world, where new types of meteorites make its interaction more meaningful.

In exchange, we added new levels with portals, which we believe provide a much more fun and fluid dynamic on their own.

New mechanics

We bring you a sneak peek at World 2, with two levels featuring two new mechanics:

Frozen meteor:

Many meteors in this world are trapped in a cube of ice when they enter the atmosphere. They don't bounce, they slide due to their low friction, and they are invulnerable while frozen.

Fire Turret:

To deal with frozen meteors, you need to melt them first. The fire turret shoots flames in the direction it is pointing, melting the ice and leaving the meteors burning, which causes them progressive damage.

Interface redesign

The interface has been almost completely redesigned to simulate the player being inside a control booth from where they manage the defense system.

The buttons no longer floating: they are now integrated into three-dimensional panels and screens, giving a more physical and coherent feel.

In addition, we have improved the city's health bar. Previously, it was hidden away at the bottom of the screen; now it is displayed on a screen inside the cabin (bottom left), making it much more visible and intuitive.

Quality of life improvements

The meteor sign now shows the type of meteor that will fall first. If there are more than one type, a ‘+’ appears. Hovering over the sign displays a panel with full details of how many will fall and what types.

The arrangement of objects placed by the player is automatically saved when exiting the level, not just when pressing “Start.”

And that's all for today!

This will be the last major update to the demo before the game's release. We hope you enjoy it, and as always, we'd love to hear your feedback!

Cheers, commanders!
