The Souls Trapped Around Longmere Lake

Laura comes from a wealthy family of noble lineage. Together with her sister, Dalia, she was raised in a local manor house. After their father’s death, however, their mother became deeply involved in occult practices. Unlike Dalia, who chose to stay by their mother’s side, Laura decided to leave Kashubia and move to the city.

From early childhood, both sisters were inexplicably drawn to supernatural phenomena, unaware of who they truly were. As Dalia grew closer to their mother, she became increasingly devoted to matters of faith, while Laura gradually distanced herself from religion and adopted a more secular outlook. It was precisely for this reason that the cult which had ensnared their mother began to take a particular interest in Dalia.

Now Laura has returned to uncover the truth behind her sister’s fate.

Upon her return, Laura encounters Nikolai, a frog ferryman who transports travelers across the waters of Longmere Lake. Bound to the service of malevolent spirits, he clings to the hope that someone might one day free the village from Diocheł and Licho.

Laura also meets Mortem, a deeply cynical cat enslaved by the same demonic forces. Despite his bitter demeanor and unpleasant attitude, he secretly hopes that Laura may succeed in changing his fate as well.
