ExoTrain Roadmap

This is our internal development plan, and that plan can be and will be expanded. We are listening to your feedback in Steam discussions, reviews, surveys, and on our Discord server, so you can share your suggestions there, and we'll implement some of them in future updates.

Short-term plans (next month or two):

• Artillery train module (T3 tech).

• Second abilities for T3-tech weapons.

• Unique abilities for unique weapon upgrades (Thermal Sniper Rifle, Pyroblade, Dampened Cutter).

• Northern part of the main level.

• Farming system for producing organic resources (grass, fruits, eggs, and meat).

• UI for previously read logs and completed missions.

Medium-term plans (next six months):

• Deepening the pneuma mechanics: pneuma collection speed will depend on the zone; zones with high pneuma concentration will affect the character (a radiation-like system), and additional modules for pneuma resistance or, contrariwise, pneuma weakness as the cost of very strong improvements.

• Deepening the tower-defense system: shield towers, debuffing turrets, and turrets that can ignore obstacles (some kind of mortar-like artillery or piercing shots).

• More passive skills, and some rework of the current skill system to make skills more unique and have fewer skills with just small attribute bonuses.

• Overclock bench with the ability to "lock" part of the bonuses from rerolls.

• Achievement system.

• More food and drink recipes.

Long-term plans:

• Making specialized railcars (glass-roofed cars for farming, for example).

• New level zones with unique mechanics (pneuma-radiation zones, poisonous geysers, lightning strikes from above, and so on).

• AddedExpansion of current contentnew equipment, train modules, enemies, bosses, etc.

We'll make an additional, more detailed post later in Discussions section, so it will be easier to keep an eye on the progress.
