Exium: Theia changes
Major Demo Update Now Live!
Hello everyone,
I'm excited to announce that a major update for the Exium: Theia Demo is now live!
As a solo developer, I want to sincerely thank everyone who has taken the time to play the demo and share feedback. Nearly every improvement in this update came directly from your suggestions and bug reports. Your feedback has helped shape the game, and I truly appreciate every comment, review, and report.
What's New
Inventory & Crafting Overhaul
Completely redesigned the inventory and crafting resource system.
Crafting materials now have dedicated permanent resource slots, freeing up valuable inventory space for weapons, armor, consumables, and other loot.
New Repair System
Added an equipment repair system.
Repair your gear using duct tape found on bandits or purchased from pawnshops.
Survival Improvements
Drinking bottled water now leaves behind an empty reusable bottle.
Empty bottles can now be refilled at water wells.
Increased the size of the food and water bars for improved visibility.
Fixed the ammo weight issue.
Navigation
The compass has been redesigned and moved directly onto the main HUD, making exploration and navigation much easier.
Loot & World Improvements
Replaced several loot containers to help resolve disappearing loot.
Fixed various environmental issues, including clipping stairs and other assets.
Weather & Performance
Updated the weather system to prevent snow from appearing during clear, sunny weather.
Optimized rocks and trees for improved performance.
Additional optimization and polish throughout the demo.
Looking Ahead
This is planned to be the last major demo update before the full game launches, but I'm always listening. If there's important feedback or issues that can improve the experience, I'm more than willing to continue updating the demo. My goal is to make Exium: Theia the best game it can be, and I'm open to making changes based on what players want.
If you play the demo, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Whether it's bugs, balancing, quality-of-life improvements, or new ideas, your feedback genuinely helps guide development.
Finally, if you're enjoying Exium: Theia, please consider adding the game to your Steam Wishlist. Wishlists make a huge difference for solo indie developers and help more players discover the game when it launches.
Thank you all again for your continued support. I couldn't do this without you, and I can't wait to share more of Exium: Theia with you.
