Everfall 2: Idle Dungeon RPG changes
Everfall 2 — Update Notes
Season 1 Launches June 25th, 7:00 PM EST
The first competitive Season of Everfall 2 begins June 25th at 7:00 PM EST. Season 1 is a fresh start for everyone — new characters, a clean slate, and its own set of leaderboards to climb.
Seasonal accounts start from scratch. Everyone begins Season 1 on equal footing, racing to push deeper and climb the boards.
Seasonal leaderboards are completely separate from the Eternal realm. Where you place in Season 1 is its own competition, tracked on its own boards.
Your Eternal account is untouched. Switch between your permanent Eternal progress and the Seasonal race anytime from the main menu — they're fully independent, with separate saves and separate rankings.
When Season 1 ends, its boards are locked in as a permanent record, and a new Season begins fresh.
Pick your realm from the main menu and get ready — the race starts June 25th.
The Breach Update
Launching alongside Season 1: a new high-stakes combat mode. Hunt down Breach Fiends, tear open a Breach, and survive a five-minute kill-rush for a cache of powerful gear.
New: Breach Mode
Breach Fiends now stalk the three main dungeons (Everfall, Stoneforge, Umbral). These rare, hulking enemies have a 1% chance to appear in any room. Slay one for a guaranteed Breach Key.
A Breach Key's level is set by the floor you kill the Fiend on:
Floors 1–10 → Level 1 Key
Floors 11–30 → Level 2 Key
Floors 31–50 → Level 3 Key
Floors 51–70 → Level 4 Key
Floor 71+ → Level 5 Key
Use a Key from the Cache tab to open a Breach: a five-minute timed run in a sealed crimson arena swarming with fast, fragile Breachlings.
Every kill ramps the difficulty — enemies get tougher the deeper you push. Killing faster means more kills, which means a bigger reward.
Breachlings drop no loot on their own. Your entire payout comes from the Breach Cache earned at the end of the run.
New: Breach Cache
The cache scales with how many enemies you slay in a single run:
Item count climbs gradually with kills, up to a maximum of 25 items at 500 kills.
Rarity improves the more you kill. A big run pushes Legendary odds up to 40% per item.
Mythic items can only come from a serious push — the chance fades in past 150 kills, with a full 500-kill run landing roughly a 1-in-3 shot at a Mythic in the cache.
Item level is set by your Key level and rolls toward the high end of its band, so Breach gear is always a meaningful upgrade over the floor you found the Key on:
Level 1 Key → item level 7–10
Level 2 Key → 15–22
Level 3 Key → 28–38
Level 4 Key → 45–58
Level 5 Key → 65–80
Breach Caches are free to open.
New: Breach Equipment Slot
The second ring slot has been reworked into a dedicated Breach slot. Characters now use a single ring slot plus the Breach slot.
Breach items are accessory-style gear (no Breach weapons) that only fit the Breach slot. They carry the same kinds of stats as normal gear and are marked with the "Breach" prefix.
New: Breach Leaderboards
A Breach leaderboard tracks your highest single-run kill count.
Records are split into five subcategories, one per Key level, so you compete against runs of the same Key tier rather than being buried by higher-level pushes.
Like all boards, Breach records are tracked separately for Eternal and Seasonal.
Fixes & Polish
Fixed an issue where Breach gear could be equipped in the wrong slot and ignore class weapon rules. Breach items are now strictly accessory-slot only.
Fixed the Breach Cache opening animation, which previously failed to display the chest.
Fixed Breachling tooltips that incorrectly showed an unrelated loot table; they now clearly show the kill count and reward.
Quitting or reloading mid-Breach now returns you safely to the dungeon select instead of a broken arena state.
Hardened Breach run tracking so kills and rewards are counted correctly and rewards can't be granted twice.
Cleaned up the Breach UI for a more streamlined, minimal look.
Existing Eternal accounts carry over fully — all characters, gear, and progress are preserved.
