Everdream Village changes
Hey Everdreamers!
We’ve just released a huge update with plenty of Quality of Life improvements, all based on the feedback you’ve sent us! Grab your favorite tea and snack before reading, because the list is LONG!
🧭 Quests, Clarity & Tutorials
Improved clarity and better guidance for digging up the first dinosaur bone.
Fixed misleading dialogue in “Help the Cat” quest (the cat is now where it should be 🐱).
Fixed issues with “Follow the Bison” causing confusing progression.
Added new tutorials: Animal Breeding and Treasure Detector.
Tutorials in the menu are now sorted alphabetically and chronologically.
Key items (fishing rod, hat, sword) are now given at the correct moment during quests instead of being available from the start.
Improved clarity of many tutorials.
🐾 Animals & Breeding
Added animal hunger indicators and improved the hunger system (animals now eat naturally during the day and stay fed).
Animals will no longer breed if hungry.
Newborn animals now automatically receive names based on their gender.
Added animal naming system (requires a special item from the merchant 🔍).
Improved petting interactions (yes, the new cat enjoys it properly now).
Quest animals can’t be accidentally sold anymore.
Added a small mood bonus when interacting with NPCs as a cat (yes… purring helps 🐱). - Purring is now much louder.
🌾 Gameplay & Systems
Added seed system: crops now have separate seeds and harvestable produce. You can get seeds while cooking a dish, or simply by harvesting them in the kitchen from the crops you need.
Redesigned the cooking minigame.
Fixed an issue with ore disappearing after loading a save.
Fixed unreachable ore on the Main Island. - You can now take a loan via the loan board.
🏗️ Building & Placement
Added a permanent bird-view camera when placing buildings.
Improved building placement with smoother movement and rotation snapping.
Fence gates should open without any issues after terraforming nearby.
Beehives can now be moved.
The fisherman’s house cannot be placed too far into the water anymore.
Fence placement is now more intuitive with improved alignment.
🎮 Controls & UI
Fixed navigation issues in the main menu (while using the keyboard).
Added a clearer UI for the woodworking minigame (with plank counter & feedback).
Improved crafting UI clarity (front/back socket visibility).
Sometimes the Instant Craft button would turn into the Instant Cook button; this should not happen anymore. (no more cooking fences 😄).
Added a larger zoom and improved camera range when looking for birds.
🌍 World & Interactions
You can now pick up crabs properly again 🦀
Fixed NPC map icons on Desert Island (they now reflect if NPCs are underground).
Fixed message issues after the fishing contest.
Fixed the character’s body position getting stuck after unequipping tools.
You can now light the fireplace at the Grandparents’ house.
You can put out the campfires using a watering can. You can light it up again if you have a matchbox!
🛠️Patch Notes: 1.15
First 30 minutes of gameplay are even more polished ✨ 🧭 Quests, Clarity & Tutorials - The wording of the hat tutorial was adjusted to be less confusing 👒 - Added missing watering can tutorial. Keep your crops properly hydrated! 💦🌱 - Fresh Grass quest was slightly adjusted to give the player more agency - it's up to you to cut that grass now! ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🍃 - Boat upgrades are now rooted in the story ⛵ - Aiding Grandma in the field has now a proper task prompting you to talk to her 👵
🏗️ Building & Placement
Tempered hatched should now be more rewarding to craft and make cutting down the trees noticably quicker 🌳🪓
🐾 Animals & Breeding
Added a tutorial for naming the animals. Time to get creative! ✍️🐮 - Strange Cow is now properly strange 🐮
🎮 Controls & UI
Scaling issues with 2560x1600 resolution are now fixed 🖥️ - Storage box UI is no longer partially covered at the edges - Inventory and Storage UI scaling issues with 1920x1200 resolution are now fixed
