Nordic Horizons + Forest Machinery Release

We’re thrilled to announce that Nordic Horizons, the next major map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2, is is OUT NOW! After months of development, kilometres upon kilometres of newly crafted roads, and countless breathtaking landmarks brought to life, we can’t wait to open the gates to northern Scandinavia.

The Nordic Horizons DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is now released!

This release marks one of our largest map expansions to date, offering a truly vast and diverse region for you to explore. From the dramatic fjords of Norway to the Arctic coastline, from Sweden’s rugged Norrland to the expansive wilderness of Finland’s Lapland, Nordic Horizons blends nature, culture, and trucking challenges into one unforgettable journey.

With Nordic Horizons, we aimed to capture the spirit of the far north: luminous northern skies, small coastal villages clinging to rocky landscapes, and the quiet but powerful presence of history woven through every settlement.

Here’s a taste of what the DLC brings:

• 40 meticulously recreated cities, including Trondheim, Oulu, Umea and Kiruna

• Beautiful Nordic landmarks, from the dramatic Atlantic Ocean Road to the striking Arctic Cathedral in Tromsø and the enchanting Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi

• New industries such as waste recycling, an underground mine, and a variety of unique farms and sawmills

• 30 scenic towns and smaller settlements to discover and deliver to

• A rich mix of major highways, winding rural roads, city streets, and even the occasional dirt trail

• Faithfully recreated city centres, capturing each location’s distinct atmosphere

• A route all the way to the iconic Nordkapp globe, the northernmost drivable point in mainland Europe

• Opportunities to explore stunning historic areas like Gävle, Umeå, Kristiansund, Ålesund and many more

• Use of the dynamic loading and unloading feature at selected depots

• Over 200 depots are ready to offer countless job opportunities

• The unforgettable spectacle of the Northern Lights

• Realistically adjusted daylight cycles for northern latitudes

Cruising Nordic Horizons

With the release of the DLC, we’re also kicking off a brand new World of Trucks event: Cruising Nordic Horizons, which begins right at the moment of launch. This event invites you to explore the new map, deliver cargoes to and from its many cities, and contribute to a community goal while earning special in-game rewards.

Rewards

• Personal: Players who deliver cargo to or from the required 18 cities in Nordic Horizons will gain a personal World of Trucks Achievement and a beautiful Northern Tides ETS2 truck paint job Steam inventory item.

• Community: When the community goal of driving 300,000,000 km during deliveries to or from any Nordic Horizons city is met, and if the player has also achieved their personal goal, then they will receive a striking Viking Helmet dashboard ornament Steam inventory item.

• And there’s an extra treat as well! Truckers who complete a job using External Contracts or the External Market TO or FROM Narvik will be rewarded with the Wolf cabin plush Steam inventory item. Soft, cuddly, and carrying a touch of Nordic wilderness spirit, this charming little wolf pays homage to the landscapes and legends of the far north. It’s the perfect companion to accompany you on your journeys across the new expansion!
