Eternal Mist changes
đź§Travelers of the Mist,
A new update for the Eternal Mist demo is now available! We’ve added three difficulty levels, so you can choose the experience that feels right for you.
You choose your difficulty when creating a new player profile. Keep in mind that this choice is permanent and cannot be changed later, so choose carefully.
Unlike many games, Easy is the recommended difficulty for your first journey through Eternal Mist. It offers the experience the game was originally balanced around, while Normal and Hard are designed for players looking for a tougher challenge and better rewards.
⚖️Difficulty Comparison
| Feature | Easy (Recommended) | Normal | Hard |
|---|---|---|---|
| Resources gained from defeated enemies | 100% | 125% | 150% |
| Squad resurrection cost after a successful mission | 90% reduced | 39% reduced | Not available |
| Squad losses after defeat or retreat | Fallen squads return for free | Standard resurrection rules | Fallen squads are gone forever |
| Resources stored in destroyed Lures | Preserved | Lost | Lost |
🌱Easy — The Intended First Journey
This is the recommended way to experience Eternal Mist for the first time. It gives you space to learn the mechanics, try different strategies, and explore the world of the Mist without the harshest penalties for failure.
⚔️Normal — A More Demanding Journey
For players who already understand the basics and want a greater challenge. Resources become more valuable, mistakes become more costly, and careful planning becomes the key to survival.
🔥Hard — No Second Chances
The most unforgiving way to play Eternal Mist. Fallen squads cannot be revived, every battle carries the risk of permanent loss, and only the best commanders will be able to claim the greatest rewards.
Which path will you choose?
