The first patch for Escape the Backrooms Version 1.0 on Steam is rolling out now. This patch focuses on resolving as many community-reported topics as possible at this stage, and a few more pesky bugs identified by our team.
Below are the patch notes for any noticeable fixes or changes in the 1.01 update, releasing today on Steam:

Fixed issue causing player to immediately drink Almond Water after picking the item up, when playing with a controller
Fixed instances of the spectator camera, after dying, locking to just one other player

Fixed issue causing players to sometimes become stuck in the wall near the beginning of Level 922
Fixed issue allowing players to get stuck behind the auto-closing gate in Level 2
Fixed issue in Level 37 where if the player in control of steering the boat dies, the boat is no longer usable
Fixed visual error in levelling UI that can show the player receiving an infinite or extreme amount of XP

As well as resolving this stuff for 1.01, the Escape the Backrooms team are looking into more player-reported topics as we speak, with an aim to bring fixes in future patches and updates. We’re looking into reports around Nightmare mode saves, sporadic reports of ‘Fatal Error’ crashes, entity behaviour in Level 37.2, and more.
To help players with sharing their feedback, and for our crew to track and take action on what you’re reporting, we’ve implemented a new system for reporting issues and feedback, via Feature Upvote. We encourage all players to share anything you’d like our team to investigate via this tool, and check out existing submissions in case you want to upvote them.
Thank you Wanderers – enjoy the 1.01 update!
