Escape from 8-Bit High changes
I'm happy to announce that we're on schedule to meet our September 29th release date!
Right now we're wrapping up Alpha Testing, tuning the game and fixing every issue we come across.
These last 11 months have been an incredible journey. As a solo developer, I really pushed myself beyond what I thought I could achieve with Escape from 8-Bit High. My goal has always been to create the kind of adventure game I've dreamed of playing: an epic, funny story filled with meaningful choices, challenging puzzles, and countless little surprises that reward curiosity and make every playthrough feel different.
Thank You!
Even though I code and draw the game myself, I would never have reached this point without the incredible people who generously gave their time to help.
A huge thank you to:
Hank, the brilliant sound designer and composer behind one of the biggest original soundtracks I've ever seen in an adventure game.
Brogan Farr, who has done an amazing job coordinating the complex voice-over process.
Ana Méndez, who translated 10,849 lines of dialogue into Spanish in record time.
My fantastic QA testers, including Steven Don, Alessio Ribeca, Ramon Wilhelm, and everyone else who helped squash bugs and improve the game.
And of course... YOU.
Whether you've been following development, wishlisted the game, played the demo, or simply taken the time to read this post—thank you. It truly means the world to me.
What makes Escape from 8-Bit High unique?
Three playable characters, each with their own storyline, personality, and meaningful choices.
A highly replayable adventure. Some events and puzzles are randomized, so every playthrough offers new surprises.
Multiple ways to solve puzzles. Your choices don't just affect dialogue—they can dramatically change how the story unfolds and which ending you'll reach.
Four unlockable arcade mini-games to build your own retro '80s arcade collection.
A unique Music Battle system, where you'll unlock new songs throughout the adventure, each with its own special abilities.
252 interactive items, with unique animations for each of the three playable characters.
I'm incredibly proud of how this game has come together, and I genuinely can't wait for you to experience it.
If you'd like to support this solo developer, please wishlist Escape from 8-Bit High and tell your friends about it. Every wishlist really does make a difference.
Thank you all... and see you on September 29th!
QUACK! 🦆
