ADDITIONS

Chest type monsters have been reworked. Y'know, for diversities' sake! So what's new?

  • Chest monsters no longer move!

  • Chest monsters no longer open their mouths, saying "LOOK, I'M A MONSTER DAMNIT!"

  • Chest monsters will only attack when you try and open them. Makes sense, huh?

So in one way this makes them easier to avoid, however opening chests is now a bit of a gamble. I'd say overall this change makes things a bit harder, but it makes more sense to me. I gotta' admit that maybe me playing a lot of Dark Souls remastered and running into stupid Mimics probably had a hand in this too.

This change applies to all Chest Monsters, Death Boxes, and the rare boss Bob.

CHANGES

  • The "loading please wait" display while going down ladders was replaced with "descending.."

  • Speaking of which, there is now a chance ladders will take you down 2 floors instead of 1 (roughly 14%). When you go down 2 floors the text saying "descending.." is replaced by a green text saying "This ladder is long!" You can't miss it.

  • Dimensional Rifts can now no longer summon Death Boxes (since they can't move anymore)

  • The graveyard game over picture was improved

  • The tutorial's "remove items" picture page was improved

  • Dates in the title updated to 2020, because that's what year this is they tell me.

FIXES

  • Fixed it so the Steel Shovel can dig through Icy Floors like it was supposed to

  • The action display "MINE" now appears correctly while at a gold deposit when equipped with the War Pick.

  • Campfires can't spawn on floor 10 (frog w/ rain boss). Because it happened to me and that makes no sense!

  • The Scrapper's "Scrapped Money Increased" now has the proper description on the specials screen

  • Eating worms now no longer displays "Ate an Apple" on the Log

That's all for now! I was at first going to make a really small update to fix the War Pick's "mine" thing but kind of got carried away. I feel a good roguelike's development is never really finished. Not if you think of ways to better it at least.
