First and foremost, we want to express our gratitude to everyone joining us here on Steam. Watching this community take shape and grow around Epitome has been an incredible experience for our team.

To everyone who supported us during our Kickstarter campaign: Thank you. Your trust in our vision proved that what we are building together is worth every effort. Having a dedicated community behind us from day one is something we truly appreciate.

Development on Epitome is moving forward at full speed. We are pushing hard on every front - refining the core mechanics, polishing the code, and expanding the lore. Currently, the game is in its Pre-Alpha phase, and we still need time to polish every system to perfection. Because of this, we don't have a concrete release date just yet. However, stay tuned and follow us across all our social media channels - as soon as the right moment comes, you will be the first to know!

What we have so far:

• A Next-Gen MMO Server that handles over 33,000 players without breaking a sweat, ensuring seamless large-scale battles and interactions.

• AI-Powered NPCs and AI Quests bring the world to life with lifelike conversations, merchant negotiations, and quests generated for each player - making your adventures feel alive and unpredictable.

• An Advanced Anti-Cheat System because fair play isn't just a feature - it's a necessity. We will be rolling this system out step by step during our upcoming testing phases, carefully monitoring its impact to ensure it does not compromise gameplay stability.

• A Firm Stance on No Pay-to-Win means that in Epitome, your skills and strategy matter - not the size of your wallet.

• Community-Driven Development ensures we're building this game with you, not just for you.

• Mechanics that are easy to learn but hard to master, allowing newcomers to jump right into the action while giving MMORPG veterans endless depth and complexity to perfect their strategies.

At the end of the day, a great MMORPG is defined by its players. Our main goal remains simple: to build a world where you can spend hundreds, if not thousands, of hours shaping your own path and legend.

The Next Milestone: Open Alpha

We are taking another step forward to bring Epitome to the level we all want it to be.

As mentioned earlier, we are currently in the Pre-Alpha phase, but we are continuously improving the game and making steady progress toward our Open Alpha.

The Open Alpha will be completely free and accessible to everyone. This will be your chance to step into the world of Epitome and experience firsthand what we are building. During this phase, we will keep refining existing systems and introducing new features, giving YOU a real, direct influence on the development of the game. Your feedback will help us ensure that Epitome is moving in the right direction.

We are currently targeting late summer for the Open Alpha launch. However, game development can be unpredictable, and we want to ensure we have enough room to tackle any unforeseen delays. While late summer is our goal, if anything shifts, we will keep you updated immediately.

Storyline

In the beginning,

There was only the void and Zethar, a powerful Archon, alone in infinity. Craving companionship, he attempted to create life, but the soulless beings he formed were fleeting and insubstantial. Realizing that something was missing, Zethar sacrificed half of his power and devised a grand system - Epitome - that would give souls a place to exist and thrive.

He invited ten souls from another universe - to nurture these new souls, Zethar created M1 - the Land of Beginnings - where new souls could start their journey. As the guardian of this world, Zethar watched with hope as life began to unfold in the world he had created.

After swiftly transforming into Archons and quickly becoming powerful, their lust for power began to threaten the balance of the universe.

The Land of Beginnings is a reflection of Zethar's original vision - a realm full of life, natural energy, and balance. This is where you as well begin your long and unforgettable journey, which may eventually lead to achieving the status of an Archon and uncovering the mysteries of existence.

For an ordinary mortal, these mysteries remain inaccessible, buried deep in the annals of history. However, for those who dare to approach the gates of the unknown and cross the boundaries of what seems impossible, the reward may be an inexhaustible source of knowledge and power that others never had the chance to experience.

AI-POWERED NPCS & QUESTS

In Epitome, NPCs aren't just background characters - they're dynamic individuals powered by advanced AI who adapt to your choices, shaping the narrative as you explore.

Every decision you make, whether good or bad, sends ripples through the world. Choose not to help an NPC in need, and you might face unforeseen consequences down the road. Offer your assistance, and you could unlock secret alliances, rare rewards, or even new challenges. Your actions don't just influence how NPCs see you - they shape how the entire world evolves.

Thanks to AI, the interaction possibilities are endless. You can:

• Talk to NPCs about any game-related topic, engaging in fully dynamic conversations. Whether you're asking for quest advice, learning about skill development, equipment, or gathering intel on other NPCs, they're ready to chat.

• Negotiate for better rewards, because why settle for standard quest payouts? Haggle with merchants for better prices on items, or negotiate with quest-givers for more lucrative rewards based on your skills or relationship with them.

• Get personalized advice from NPCs. Not sure which path to take or how to build your character? They'll offer tailored guidance based on your progress, playstyle, and choices, helping you navigate the world more effectively. They'll point you to the best equipment, help optimize your skill tree, or suggest hidden quests you might have missed.

But it doesn't stop there. Our AI isn't just reactive - it's proactive. When you return to them, they'll acknowledge your actions and may offer new opportunities or challenges based on your shared history.

Soon, you'll also have AI Companions that evolve alongside you. These companions will do more than fight by your side - they'll assist with tasks, offer guidance, and even keep watch over your character while you're AFK. Over time, they'll feel less like game characters and more like trusted friends, growing and adapting as you journey together through Epitome.
