Minor biomes

This release introduces four minor biomes. These special biomes are populated by neverbeforeseen native inhabitants. Will they be your friends or will they try to kill you?

They will try to kill you.

Minor biome "Volanic"

Some like it hot. Specifically Magma Diver, Pyrocrystal and of course [REDACTED].

Urtar feeling the heat.

Minor biome "Geometric"

A realm of pure mathematics. This ain't the math you learned in school. Unless they told you about cubes.

Marcia trying to find an angle.

Minor biome "Scrapheap"

A galactic rubbish dump. They say one alien's junk is another alien's treasure, but this junk walks around and fires shrapnel at your face.

Urtar carefully aiming his "Discarded Device"... What does it do?

Minor biome "Dunes"

Course, rough, and full of sandy desert raiders.

Lillypilly evades Dune Dervishes and Sand Snipers.

Weapon damage numbers

A much requested feature! You can now see the range of damage each weapon's attack can deal.

The low end of the range is the minimum damage a wepaon will do, provided that it lands a hit. The high end is the most it can do.

For example, the mining laser's attack shows "1–39". It fires three beams that do continuous damage. If one beat hits one enemy for one frame it does 1 damage. If all three beams hit an enemy for the entire turn duration, will do 39.

The numbers I was just talking about!

Era 2 balance changes

Era 2 enemies were sponging way too much damage, and have head their health reduced. The dreaded Mad Doctor has had his behaviour adjusted to include more openings to retaliate, especially for melee enjoyers.

Codex stories tab

We've added a new "story" tab to the codex. Here you can read and replay all of the stories and conversations you've seen. You can also replay the intro cinematic.

Codex stories page

New gadgets

Three new gadgets to find!

For example: The Gunboots. You're probably familiar with boots already, maybe you're wearing some right now. Imagine those boots but with guns on them!
