New name, new keyart

Hey everyone! A quick update on the game. Yes, it’s still in development. And yes, it’s taking way longer than expected 😅 But as a solo dev, and currently without funding, things sometimes move slower than I’d like.

It’s the result of a collaboration between Ivan Ulyanov, who reworked the characters, and Sophie Tacheny, who handled the logo and background (All based on an original concept by Pandaroo Interactive).

Ivan Ulyanov has worked on key art for games like Old Skies, Rosewater, Unavowed, and The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow. You can see more of his work here:

I’ve been a fan of his work for a long time, and I’m honestly extremely happy with what he’s done for Enoch.

Another important change: the name.

After many discussions (including one with a Steam page expert), I learned something interesting: in game, movie, or book titles, everything after the colon is often ignored or forgotten.

So why make the name and logo heavier for no real benefit?

The game was originally called Children of Enoch, which I liked, but the name was already used by a sci-fi novel series with strong religious themes.

To avoid confusion, I changed it to Enoch: Children of Fate.

After all that reflection, I decided to simplify things even more.

Now it’s just Enoch. Plain and simple.

Next step : updating the demo !
