End the Endless changes
After a long while of being quiet on Steam, I have some exciting news. I will be launching a Playtest on Steam shortly.
Playtest? Currently I have a prototype Alpha available on other websites. This is currently open for anyone to try, and it's completely free.
A playtest will effectively be a small graduation for people who have wishlisted the game to try.
What is the goal of this Playtest?
Feedback on Design - UI, Visuals and Gameplay
Easy access for people who wish to try the game.
Bugs - There will be a lot.
If you feel like something isn't sitting right, or something is too hard or too easy, I want to hear it. If you think the UI needs work or isn't sensible, let me know! Some audio assets are still in the works, and I've gotten in touch with a composer to plug a lot of the much-needed sound holes the game has.
Why no demo on Steam yet? Steam demos require a certain level of polish that this Alpha Playtest does not have. A Steam demo will be available in the future, I promise, but right now I need to work on making sure people actually enjoy the core gameplay: recruiting enemies, the weapon system, etc.
When Steam Demo? Soon™ - sooner than you think, provided feedback is on track with what I am expecting.
When Release? I am currently aiming for after June Next Fest 2027, but that may change depending on how things progress...
Lastly, I will begin monitoring the community hub to address any concerns when I can. This will be available for suggestions, bugs, etc.
Additionally, I post updates on X and will have a new trailer soon.
I will be providing updates at least every couple of weeks from now until release with screenshots, WIPs, etc.
