En Garde! changes
Today, we’d like to introduce the main cast of En Garde!. These 4 main characters are the recurring protagonists of En Garde! ’s story episodes!
When you start playing En Garde!, it will feel like you’re jumping in the middle of an old TV series with pre-established characters. Thankfully, these archetypal characters barely need an introduction! They live countless adventures together, and their pasts and destinies don’t matter as much as their interactions with each other.

🌟 Adalia, our swashbuckling hero! Renowned throughout the City as a master of the blade, she embodies the essence of daring, playfulness, and unwavering confidence. With her flamboyant style, she is the epitome of a charming scoundrel. ⚔️💫
Adalia has a temper of an archetypal musketeer and she's obviously based on swashbuckling folk heroes like Zorro. But she's also inspired by real-life historical swordswomen, such as Julie d’Aubigny!

🎭 Alejandro is Adalia's younger brother! Enthusiastic, ditzy, noble. He's a playwright and never runs out of ideas to make his sister shine. 🌟 What he lacks in skill and foresight, he makes up for in unwavering idealism. 💫✨ Some people pretend he leads a double life as a masked hero, known as El Vigilante... But they are obviously not the same person.
Alejandro’s main inspirations are old-school bombastic characters played by actor Errol Flynn!

🧭 Here is the enigmatic Zaida... Her captivating allure comes with a razor-sharp wit and a mysterious past. What is her link to Adalia and where do her allegiances truly lie? 🏴☠️🗺️
Zaida is inspired by pirates and burglar characters such as Carmen Sandiego.
VO: Mathieu Lagarrigue
👺 Beware the nefarious Count Duke, Adalia's ultimate nemesis! Neither his arrogance nor his lust for power know any bounds. He rules with an iron fist and nothing but contempt for those beneath him. He may have military power, but his pettiness might be used against him... 🏰
The Count-Duke is loosely based on his real-life counterpart, but we turned him into a cartoon villain!
