Empires of the Undergrowth changes
The latest round of fixes and changes bring us ever closer to getting this update out for everyone. This update includes some minor changes to save games - please let us know in the discussions or on the Discord if this causes any issues.
Note that the beta is currently only available on Windows.
The beta is available to all Windows users - If you would like to join the beta, the code is beachbrawlbeta. If you don’t know how to join a beta and would like to, follow the instructions below:
Find Empires of the Undergrowth in your Steam library,
Right-click on it and choose "Properties"
Choose the "Game Versions & Betas" tab
In the box titled "Private versions", enter beachbrawlbeta
After the "Access code correct" information appears, make sure you've chosen "optionalbeta" from the "Select the beta you would like to opt into" drop-down menu
Press close - the game will now update to the beta branch.
Changes
Added a gamepad glyph to the Real Final Experiment equipment icons to help controller users find the button to access the jelly upgrades for that level

Fixed ants having difficulty climbing the bullfrog & huge shore crab
Fixed termites not leaving their nest in Drive Them Back (custom game version)
Fixed colony termites not despawning if killed by environmental creatures
Fixed new uber creatures not appearing in custom game maps
Fixed incorrect spider spawns in 1.2 in Remix mode
Fixed creatures that are trying to despawn themselves getting stuck in nest exits

Fixed unit icons sometimes being doubled up on themselves in the build panel
Fixed minor improvements being purchasable during gateway missions
Fixed autothysis toggle re-enabling itself on reloading a saved game
Fixed driver ant workers missing the worker icon
Fixed sand lizards in skirmishes missing a huge creature health bar
Fixed cursor not appearing if a controller is unplugged
Fixed space bar key bindings not being saved correctly
Fixed an issue with the difficulty customisation menu in custom games
Fixed custom game save numbering not advancing
Improved menu spacing for several localisations

Attempted fix for the scientist hand staying visible after the third gateway mission
This has been a tricky one to reproduce - please let us know if it's still causing problems
Fixed termite mound visual issues in Drive Them Back (custom game version)
Fixed ranged wood ants still using the worker textures
Fixed leafcutter plants reverting to older models on load in custom games
Fixed black ant soldiers and workers being the same size at level 1
Fixed eastern newt swimming animations causing issues
Fixed swimming newts turning invisible
Fixed some animation wobbles with the eastern newt walking cycle
Fixed decorative whip spider in demo level The Crucible being the wrong size
Fixed uber whip spider using older textures

Fixed a crash caused by plugging in a controller while the game is running
