Introducing the Game's Objectives

Vengeance Against the Elves, Region Liberation, Rebuilding the House

In this Steam Next Fest demo, you'll experience the early stages of the game — from escaping Goldenhaven and rebuilding the Amber Coast Settlement, to forming alliances with the factions in Towerstead.

At official launch, the world will expand with broader Domains, the arrival of even more powerful elves, and large-scale RvR (Realm vs. Realm) content.

Character Creation

You can choose from three classes when creating your character — the Executioner, the Stormbringer, and the Spectral Blade. Each class offers a unique playstyle.

Playable Classes

ExecutionerHeavy, hard-hitting melee combat with a giant double-edged axe.
StormbringerPowerful ranged combat using the force of wind and lightning.
Spectral BladeQuick, nimble melee combat with a longsword and a phantom blade.

After selecting a class, you can customize your character. Shape every detail to create a look that's truly your own.

Playable Regions

Goldenhaven

Goldenhaven is a port city long under the rule of House Harborwell. Your journey begins here, as you set out to rebuild your House after an elven raid and seek revenge against the elves who brought it down.

Here, you'll learn the core combat systems — from basic controls to Interrupt skills, Stagger, and the Bloodline Skill — by fighting alongside your Companion Eslyn against Bella's assault on Leopold's succession ceremony.

Amber Coast

Amber Coast is an abandoned land once governed by House Ambertail, and it will serve as your new stronghold — for now, the elves have yet to turn their attention here.

You must rally the refugees from Goldenhaven and the people of the Wanderers' Refuge to build your forces, and destroy the Stakes of Dominion the elves have erected throughout the land to reclaim it. The goal of this episode is to defeat the Pitmother, who has been driven savage by the influence of the stakes, and liberate the entire Amber Coast from elven oppression.

Towerstead

Towerstead is a domain that is home to Veritas Academy, a cradle of mages, but most of it is currently under the control of the Blackmist elves led by Urs the Atoner.

Led by Headmistress Varone, the Academy continues to defend the Tower of Enlightenment, but they are gradually growing weary from the elves' relentless assaults.

If you can liberate the various regions of Towerstead—including Red Anchor Harbor, where Grand Lord Valdemar fell—from the elves' clutches and restore the trust of the residents, the powerful mages may join your alliance.

Quest Types

A brief overview of the different quest categories you'll encounter:

  • Main Episode Quests — These quests follow the game's main story, unfolding across Goldenhaven, Amber Coast, and Towerstead. Experience the journey from the fall of your House to the rise of its heir, chapter by chapter.

  • Side Quests — Varied storylines triggered by NPCs and field objects you encounter in each region. Encounter a wide range of stories — and complete certain quests to recruit new Followers to your Settlement.

  • Companion Quests — Exclusive quests that unlock as your affinity with your Companion Eslyn grows. As affinity deepens, you'll learn more about Eslyn's past and the story behind House Ambertail.

  • Region Liberation Quests — In areas occupied by the elves, Elven Stakes have been driven into the ground. These quests task you with pulling out the stakes and defeating the Domain Boss to liberate the area. They are a key feature for expanding your influence as a lord and securing Gathering and Trade Points.

  • House Quests — Guide quests that introduce the House system and other core features as you progress. They appear when you build or upgrade facilities such as the Forge, Magic Laboratory, and Workshop in your Settlement, or when you first access new content like Defense of the Spring, Domain Bosses, and the Arena.

Region Liberation

As the story progresses, you can begin liberating regions through the Liberation Request Box. When you enter a region in need of liberation, you must locate and destroy the Elven Stakes the elves drove into the ground to dominate the area.

Region Liberation must be completed within a time limit, and the powerful monsters guarding the stakes have absorbed unique powers from the stakes' energy — making them a major obstacle to your task.

Once you've destroyed all the scattered stakes, you must defeat the Domain Boss at the center of the region. Defeating the Domain Boss reveals the great stake that anchors the region's dominion. Destroy it to liberate the area and activate Gathering Points.

Companion System

Eslyn, a loyal Companion who has served House Harborwell for generations, walks beside you on your journey. Her basic abilities grow alongside your own, and her affinity level rises as you complete quests and other activities together.

Her affinity level unlocks a range of skills that shape her combat style and abilities — so deepening your bond with her is always worth the effort.

House System

As you rebuild your ruined Settlement, you'll be able to construct and manage various facilities such as the Forge, Workshop, and Trading Post. The further you develop your Settlement, the more advanced features you'll unlock — including new Trade Points, expanded item selections, and higher enhancement levels.

To progress to the next stage, expand your House's influence through Region Liberation, and use the resources you've gathered to keep your facilities upgraded.

Mounts

Once you obtain a Mount, you can mount or dismount it by pressing the [c]Z[/c] key, except in certain restricted zones. You'll naturally receive your first Mount upon completing the prologue, and you can acquire more through various in-game quests, challenges, and events.

Costumes

You can view your Costumes in the second tab of the Bag ([c]I[/c]) menu. They consist of multiple parts, so you can mix and match pieces from different styles to create a look that's truly your own.

Costumes can be obtained naturally through gameplay (such as quests), or purchased from the shop in your Settlement using Costume Coins — which you can acquire through various in-game content. The shop also offers Costumes that can be purchased with Gold, and others can be earned through special in-game events.

Field Events

Beyond the main story, events big and small await you throughout the field. If you spot a Golden Bogart roaming the fields or along the paths, give chase — defeating the fleeing Bogart yields generous rewards. But linger too long, and it will set off a smoke bomb and vanish.

Pick up powerful buffs from the Buff Shrines scattered throughout the fields — they make battles much easier. If you spot contaminated cocoons along a path or in the fields, destroy them to face the wave of monsters that emerges. If the fight is too much alone, team up with nearby players to take on tougher challenges.

Stay alert as you travel — a group of elven assassins, hunting the last of House Harborwell, roams the paths.

Multiplayer Content

◆ Field Bosses

Powerful bosses appear throughout the field. Team up with your allies to bring them down and claim rewards reserved only for the strongest.

[Garbage Coast] Ravener Molgairn

The leader of the Raveners, nestled deep within the polluted swamps of Garbage Coast. It spews contaminated fluid pooled within its massive body in all directions, corroding everything it touches. The key to survival is to keep moving before the pools of contamination accumulate.

[Shipwreck's Graveyard] Queen Aquerina

The merfolk queen who reigns over Shipwreck's Graveyard, a place where countless vessels have sunk. Aquerina glides through the wreckage, summoning clones to disorient her enemies and manipulating currents and waves to drown intruders.

[Bari Den] Bari Nanny

A guardian who watches over the young of the Bari tribe. She is usually seen humming lullabies, but at the first sign of a threat, she strikes with her massive claws and toxic secretions to dominate the battlefield.

[Twisted Mudflats] Blackstone Lord Krogastone

The ruler of Blackstone, said to be descended from the blood of a divine mineral beast. His entire body is encased in blackened, corrupted ore, and he has hardened further by absorbing the toxic minerals of the Twisted Mudflats. He moves with savage speed, laying bombs that shatter the ground beneath your feet.

[Red Anchor Harbor] Commander Dareth

The commander leading the vanguard of the Blackmist elves. The flames that rise from his fingertips burn with a heat that can melt even steel. The moment his flames sweep the battlefield, there is nothing left for the enemy but despair — no one outruns this fire.

[Towerfoot Village] Swordmage Feroxis

Enthralled by the brutal power of Urs, he calls himself the "Servant of Death." The deathly aura that emanates from him chokes the life out of every living thing, and he cuts through his enemies at a speed too fast for the eye to follow.

[Mage's Dock] Captain Sharkarm

He lost one arm to a shark, but hunted down that very shark and grafted it onto himself through sorcery. Drawing from the power of the deep sea that resides within his cursed shark arm, he manipulates seawater at will and unleashes brutal attacks.

[Order's Ravine] Captain Sinclair

The leader of the Red Anchor Order, who betrayed House Harborwell and retreated into the Order's Ravine. Seated atop his warhorse and gripping his spear, he unleashes a relentless barrage of fierce thrusts that are nearly impossible to parry.

[Pitmother's Nest] The Pitmother

The origin of the Bari tribe, a colossal matriarch who has given life to countless creatures. She summons eggs across the battlefield, turning the entire arena into a danger zone, and overwhelms enemies with relentless leaping slam attacks.

[Mireheart Giant's Nest] Mireheart Giant

A colossal creature that has slumbered deep within the swamp for many years. At its core, the contamination of the entire swamp lies concentrated, and with every beat of its heart, it spews poison into the surrounding area. Its slow movements may invite complacency, but it shatters enemy formations with wide stretches of toxic terrain and an endless supply of summoned massive roots.

[Urs's Nest] Urs the Atoner

An elf, known as the Atoner, who has taken up residence deep within his nest. Though he was sealed inside an ark for the crime of slaughtering his own kin, his thirst for power and ravenous rage have never been quenched. He draws intruders in and detonates the ground with his magnetic field, slowly tightening his grip on the battlefield.

[Man-Faced Insect's Nest] Man-Faced Insect

A bizarre, mutated sand insect with the faces of its victims writhing across its skin. It scatters Corpse Flowers around itself, trapping all who draw close in a deathly aura and slowly cornering them.

◆ Defense of the Spring

A world event that occurs periodically at specific locations in Amber Coast and Towerstead.

The objective is to defend the Aether Tree from swarming enemies — and any player nearby can join in freely once the event begins.

Each defense offers varied combat, from relentless waves of monsters to back-to-back boss fights, with greater rewards for clearing more waves. Defeating the final boss ends the battle, and contribution-based rankings are revealed.

◆ Dungeon

Dynasty's Tomb is a dungeon for up to 3 players, taking you through a single complete run — from entry to the final boss. Three difficulties are available: Easy, Normal, and Hard. Each difficulty requires its own level and Combat Power (CP) thresholds to enter.

After defeating the final boss, a Spoils Chest appears with various rewards. You can open it using a Key tied to that difficulty level. Keys replenish at a set time each day.

◆ Arena (PvP)

Arena is a 2v2 PvP mode where you compete against other players. It unlocks after completing the quest The Final Battle, which marks your entry into Towerstead. Since Combat Power is partially adjusted, you can compete without being held back by growth differences.

You earn 1 point for each opponent you eliminate. The team that reaches 10 points first — or scores the most points within the time limit — wins.

If one team takes a lead of 3 points or more, the player who contributed most to that lead is Crowned, and a bounty is placed on their head. Eliminating the Crowned player earns the opposing team 3 points.

Challenges

Complete various Challenges through gameplay to earn rewards.

Access them by pressing [c]ESC[/c], or by clicking the menu button ([c]≡[/c]) in the bottom-right corner → Challenges tab.
