addedMany of you have played and supported the game in the last 10 months, and we're enormously grateful to you all. Throughout that time, one piece of feedback has remained consistent: players don't love the way our ending system works. This is us acknowledging that we hear you, and today we're releasing a new update to Elsinore which will allow you to continue playing after choosing an ending without your save file being destroyed.
addedWe hope that this new ending flow offers you the opportunity to do that, in its own peculiar way.
changedOther Improvements
changedWe've also made some additional improvements and bugfixes to the game.
addedAdditions: - Added ability to fast-foward through credits. - Clarified directions near the end of one lead (Irma's Ire). - Added new expressions and VO to some scenes.
fixedFixes: - Prevented a softlock happening in the docks due to a missing scene. - Fixed various visual bugs in the UI with character portraits. - Fixed various scene logic bugs. - Adjusted a few scenes so they couldn't happen at weird/inappropriate times.

A major aspect of Elsinore is changing. Warning: mild spoilers ahead!

Many of you have played and supported the game in the last 10 months, and we're enormously grateful to you all. Throughout that time, one piece of feedback has remained consistent: players don't love the way our ending system works. This is us acknowledging that we hear you, and today we're releasing a new update to Elsinore which will allow you to continue playing after choosing an ending without your save file being destroyed.

Why?

When we set out to build Elsinore's final act, we knew that we wanted to capture the feeling that no matter what fate Ophelia chose for Elsinore, it was the final choice she would make. We believed most players would want to put down the game at that point and move on, so the save deletion was just our way of trying to reinforce "you can move on now."

To our surprise (and, honestly, a bit of delight), many of you have reported that you took your ending choices quite seriously, but still wanted to see more. To peek at what might have been. It's clear that our original structure wasn't hitting our thematic goals for a large number of players. At the same time, we didn't want to abandon the notion that "endings are important decisions" entirely-- and we hope we've managed to accomplish that.

We hope that this new ending flow offers you the opportunity to do that, in its own peculiar way.
