New Languages

(This is the main chunk of the update.)

  • Elfie: A Sand Plan now officially supports 3 more languages!

    • Simplified Chinese

    • Korean

    • Russian

  • Achievements have also been translated for these additional languages.

  • New sprites were made to properly display the localized name of the game as seen on Steam for Simplified Chinese and Korean.

  • Added missing header sprites for "Level" and "Sandbox" for some languages.

  • Changes to have better localized versions of inputs in the remapping options. Particularly for mouse inputs.

QoL Changes

  • The blocks spawn using hotkeys will try to snap with any potential empty space or blocks the cursor is hovering over. It just feels better and faster overall!

  • It's now possible to exit the end credit scene if you're re-watching it by pressing the pause/back hotkey.

  • More Cheat Codes 💻🐘💭"I'm more in!"💭

    • 3 new cheat code have been added. To use them you need to input the following while in the credits. You will hear a sound if the cheat is valid and was entered correctly.

    • "Temporarily" means the cheat only works for that play session.

    • Entering cheat codes now has some visual feedback showing you what you've written so far.

Returns the shovel Only works if you have every achievement. It will play a sand sound if you don't.forgivethisbigmeanie

Bug Fixes

  • The radio now properly includes both versions of Splendor in the Sand (short and long versions) when you unlock the radio. One was missing before.

  • Friendshape can now be played on the radio. This bug flew under the radar for a while but is now fixed!

Other Changes

  • Updated music files to reflect the same quality as the OST audio mix.

  • More optimization for how sprites are packaged and loaded. Patch 1.0.3 included similar changes. These kind of changes are unlikely to have a noticeable impact on desktops but are important for mobile. Thankfully the changes don't seem to have broken anything, so far.

  • Updated the credits to include the localization team and freelance who help with the new languages.

Other things I was working on earlier this month that don't show up in the patch:

  • Looked at possibly updating the demo so that it also includes the new languages.

  • Worked on separating the Steam API stuff for it to not be to troublesome when handling the updated for different platforms.

  • Marketing and promotional stuff, mainly submitting the game to different upcoming showcases and festivals.

To report any bugs you encounter, please feel free to post in the Bug Reports sub forum.
