Earthlings changes
To celebrate our participation in the Flash Game Vibes Steam Event, we are here with a new update! This time, we dive deep into the topic of enemies. We are going through the ones you have to deal with in the demo! Have you tried it already? Not yet? Go for it!
TL;DR - If you don't like reading, watch the video!
Earthlings is all about managing resources - manpower, water, time, building materials. Your goal is to design and build monuments for your new alien god, who's selling your art across the galaxy. He's shady, but he has the upper hand, so it's wise to cooperate for now.
Getting those resources won't always be easy. Some are located in territories surrounded by enemies.
Hyenas
The simplest ones are hyenas. They'll make you build barracks to train soldiers. Usually a few soldiers can take care of them.
Mummies
Mummies are trickier. Their spit is venomous, so they can hurt your people from a distance. Taking care of them requires more attention. Beating them isn't enough - you also have to close the tomb they're coming from, otherwise they return and cause further trouble.
Sandworms
G, your alien god, has a special... well, power. Like any incompetent boss, he's great at triggering chaos. As he slowly loses his patience with you, wanting you to increase your settlement's reputation to the max ASAP, his outbursts trigger supernatural events. It's not clear how he's doing it, but you have to take these happenings seriously.
One example: his anxiety attracts bloodthirsty sandworms that attack from underground. You need to make sure you have enough protection, otherwise they can be devastating to your settlement.
The Giant
Then there's this big guy. His IQ is inversely proportional to his size and power. You'll usually need more soldiers to take him down. His punch is like getting hit by a train. Beating him also means you'll probably secure some precious rare resources as a reward, so it's worth taking the challenge.
These enemies are already part of the Earthlings demo, which is available now on Steam.
Currently, we're developing content for the full game, so even more events and enemies are on the way. More about those later.
Cheers, Erik
