Earth: 9000 changes
The Weapons Hot update add a variety of new balance changes and some quality of life fixes we've had our eye on for some time now. Although some of these changes may make the initial waves easier, it just means you get to the real meat grinder that much sooner.
The key changes are allowing all Kinetic weapons to have zero ammo cost. They've been balanced to account for that and their other properties, like shots speeds, fire rates, destroying enemy projectiles or piercing enemy ships keeps them balanced amongst each other.
The other major change is the inclusion of 3 new pickups that can spawn when enemies are destroyed. The Health Cannister, keeping you in the fight longer. The Research Cannister providing you with more upgrade potential. The Hazardous Cannister, you don't want this, the hazardous chemicals deal serious damage to the Earth.
Notable Changes
Kinetic Weapons are now free to use, no ammo cost
Events now reward full ammo and shields
Health, Research and Hazardous Cannisters added
Upgrade Selection Improvements
Removed small shield and ammo cannisters
Ships are more easily disabled with Ion Cannon shots
Death screen updated to randomly choose its strange new earth dimension
Sound concurrency adjustments for Nukes, they're noisy
Improved ship movement for medium sized ships
Intro cin skipping, it's amazing but you don't need to see it every time
Next update is coming along nicely and should provide some new ship types for the your defensive pleasures.
