Dwarf Legacy changes
The forge has been burning hot, and today the iron cast fruits of that labor are finally here! Version 0.6.0 of Dwarf Legacy is now live on Steam! Head over to the Demo page and dive in!
This is the largest update to date, packed with new systems, new faces, and plenty of reasons to return to T he Mountainhome.
⚒️ Achievement System with Unlockable Helmets
The Mountainhome rewards its finest. A brand new Achievement System has been carved into Dwarf Legacy, giving every expedition a deeper layer of purpose. Complete challenges, push your limits, and earn achievements that reflect your journey through the mountain.
Each achievement you unlock rewards you with a unique helmet. These aren't just cosmetics for show. They're trophies. Proof that you've conquered what the mountain threw at you. Some will be easy to earn, others will demand true mastery. Wear your accomplishments with pride, Every helmet tells a story.
🏆 Improved Global Leaderboard System
Competition lies in Dwarven nature and the Global Leaderboard is where legends are made. In 0.6.0, the leaderboard system has been rebuilt and refined to make competing against fellow dwarves smoother, cleaner, and more satisfying than ever before.
Whether you're chasing the top spot or simply trying to beat your own time, the experience of measuring yourself against the best just got a whole lot better. Sharpen your runs, The board is waiting.
⚖️ Rebalanced Levels. The Mountain Fights Back
Think you've mastered the ranks? Think again.
Levels across the game have been carefully rebalanced, with scoring thresholds tightened to make each rank genuinely feel earned. Reaching the top scores will demand sharper reflexes, smarter routing, and more consistent execution. The prestige of a top rank means more when it's hard to get. I wanted every S-Tier to feel like a real achievement.
💬 Dialogue System Improvements. The Mountain Has Stories to Tell
The Mountainhome is full of characters, and in 0.6.0 they've found their voices in a much bigger way. A substantial overhaul of the dialogue system breathes new life into the NPCs that inhabit the world. Conversations feel more dynamic, personalities feel more distinct, and the world itself feels like it has a little more soul.
🎩 A Brand New Face in the Mountainhome. The Hatter.
Perhaps the most exciting addition of all: a brand new NPC has taken up residence in the Mountainhome.
Meet the Hatter!
A craftsdwarf of remarkable skill and peculiar personality, the Hatter is responsible for forging the helmets you unlock through the Achievement System. Seek her out, earn your achievements, and see what she can make for you.
Every legend deserves a proper helmet. The Hatter will see to it!
