Dustland changes
Wanderers, welcome to the updated Dustland! A lot of big changes and exciting improvements are coming your way! In this update, we've refactored parameters, improved their display in the interface, added support for ultra-wide monitors, fixed visual artifacts on Radeon graphics processors, made further adjustments to monster behavior, and much more.
NEW FEATURES

Character parameters refactored
All stats and bonuses now show more stable performance and are bug-free.
- Character parameters widget overhauledA new “Open Full Stats” button has been added, allowing you to take a closer look at the character’s stats. For example, you can now see that Luck reduces fall damage and increases the chance of finding Bolts in containers.
Monster AI improved: Monsters can now lose sight of players and start searching for them from the last known location.
- Russian voice-over addedVoice acting has been implemented for characters and narrative screens. 5. 10 new missions added:

These missions are challenging and intended for experienced players. 6. New items added: Saltglare Shards can now be found in containers or drop from defeated monsters. These shards hint at an upcoming new region and will play a role in future game mechanics.
FINE-TUNING:
If a player exits and re-enters the game during the Tutorial, they will now spawn at the last checkpoint instead of starting from the beginning of the level.
Monsters will no longer attack players under the effect of invulnerability.
The Terminal now plays a tutorial video when greeting players in the Shelter.
Unnecessary log messages that were overloading the server during shooting have been removed.
Auto-saves have been optimized by removing unnecessary save-related variables that were putting strain on the server.
The delay when equipping armor has been removed.
After completing the elevator tutorial, another mission will be given to interact with Lesley.
- Updated map artnew points of interest, including the Portal, have been added to the map.
Monsters now return to their spawn point if they lose sight of their target or move more than 35 meters from where they spawned.
Monsters now return to their general spawn location, not a specific point.
Monsters now respond differently to movement sounds depending on whether the player is walking, running, or crouching.
Added sounds for placing items into containers, backpacks, and the Storage.
Added sounds for pumps.
Added sounds for Obelisks.
Added sounds for equipping armor and weapons.
Added sounds for buttons on the top panels.
Added sounds for the Pneumatic Mail.
Added sounds when opening loot containers.
Added sounds for the weapon window.
The character’s body now disappears 30 seconds after pressing “Respawn”, giving the player more time to use the syringe.
Improved backgrounds and art for events, the character window, and other UI screens.
The default small icons for quests have been replaced.
An explanatory text has been added to the character creation screen, showing that the character can be zoomed in and out using the mouse wheel.
For optimization purposes, the detail distance for loot containers has been reduced.
Axe damage now depends on the body part hit and can be reduced by armor.
An idle animation has been added for the axe.
Some voice lines will be reworked in the near future.
BUG FIXES:
Fixed a bug where female characters could make sounds with a male voice.
Fixed a bug causing FPS drops when opening the menu using the Esc key in the Tutorial, Shelter, or wasteland.
Fixed an issue where all windows were stretched when playing on ultra-wide monitors.
Fixed a bug that caused visual artifacts when playing on computers with Radeon graphics cards.
Fixed a bug that caused shooting to work incorrectly when a different weapon was placed in the axe’s special slot.
Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented a mission from being selected when pressing “Accept” in the mission selection window.
Fixed a bug where monsters sometimes didn’t produce sounds.
Fixed a bug where characters’ black skin would take on a purple hue in the Shelter.
Fixed issues with the visualization of seams between parts of neutral armor.
Fixed a bug that caused the widget with the scrollbar to extend beyond the screen when selling items to the merchant.
Fixed a bug where an item would be dropped on the ground when Shift+LMB was pressed on it in the character window.
Fixed a bug that caused the server to crash when the player exited to the main menu after dying while affected by a status effect.
Fixed a bug that caused Dryer corpses to produce sounds.
Fixed various bugs related to screen resolution settings.
Fixed a bug where the Stimulant and the Flask of Tea with Salt lasted longer than the specified time.
Fixed a bug where, in rare cases, the character could still turn over after performing parkour.
Fixed a bug where pressing the B button before the character was fully loaded would crash the game.
Removed the rudimentary ability to right-click on an equipped weapon. 19.Fixed a bug where the character wouldn’t make a sound when taking poison damage.
Temporarily LMB axe attacks no longer come with a slight forward movement.
Added missing localization.
Fixed animation issues with Lesley.
BALANCE CHANGES
We discovered that firearm damage was being calculated incorrectly, so we’ve rebalanced the damage for all weapons. Details below.

The drop rate for legendary weapons from military crates has been reduced from 2.36% to 0.62%.
These aren’t all the changes we’ve been working on since the last patch. We’ve made a lot of fixes on the main map, achieved FPS improvements across all game locations, and also completed work on new mechanics that will provide a deeper look into Dustland’s lore. All of this will be available in the update next week!
