Dustland changes
Wanderers, welcome to the latest update for Dustland! It includes fixes, balance changes, improvements, and a brand-new Portal Echo event. Learn about the changes, gear up, and venture into the unpredictable and dangerous wasteland! IMPROVEMENTS (NEW)
New mechanic: Three Disguises.
Three enigmatic masks have appeared in the Mysterious Room within Shelter, each can be upgraded using Insight Points. Each disguise offers the player a substantial bonus but also applies a debuff.
New mechanic: the Portal Echo event. We are introducing regular events in the game, with start times synchronized to server time. The first of these events will be Portal Echo, where you must defeat all monsters within the allotted time to earn rewards. Tackling this task alone will be challenging; so team up with other players on the map to increase your chances of success. Once you win, it's up to you to decide whether to share the reward with your teammates or keep it all for yourself.
An Events tab has been added to the main menu, where you can view details about current and upcoming events.
You can no longer die in the Shelter—players inside are granted a permanent invulnerability buff.
FINE-TUNING
Added a smooth transition between walking, jogging, and sprinting. The player now picks up speed gradually.
Added a training tablet for social mechanics (squad, voice, and text chat).
Updated the videos for the tablets explaining Insight Points and Artifacts.
Added a tutorial quest for using the Three Disguises feature.
The tutorial quest for using Artifacts now also takes the player to the room with tablets.
The volume of elevator sounds has been increased. They can now be heard from up to 50 meters away.
The visual effect of overheating now increases gradually, reaching its peak at a body temperature of 50 degrees.
Added several new directional signs throughout the Shelter.
BUG FIXES
Fixed a bug that caused the character to assume an unnatural position after parkouring on surfaces with complex geometry.
Fixed a bug that caused the camera to jerk when changing movement speed.
Fixed a bug that prevented the player from replenishing water from the Tank when they had 100+ water.
Fixed a bug that caused the merchant interface to disappear when pressing the Q button.
BALANCE CHANGES
- Quests that involve using the syringethe reward has been increased by approximately 50% .
- Artifacts with a chance to apply poisoning and bleeding effectsthe probability of triggering has been increased from 2–3% to 4–5% .
- Tar of Tea with Saltweight increased from 0.2 to 0.3 , and effect reduced from 99% to 45% .
