Dustlanders!

We’ve come a long way and have reached an amazing milestone: The game is finally out in Early Access!

We’ve worked hard to get Dustland to this point, and it wouldn’t be possible without you, the players. You are an integral part of this process and will continue to be as we move forward.

That being said, it’s important we understand that Early Access is still a work in progress. There will be bugs, glitches, various technical issues — you name it. If you see an issue that impacts your gameplay, report those nasty bugs as soon as possible, so we address them in a timely manner. What has been done since the last PT

Since the last PT we’ve fixed the following issues:

  • Updated death and loading screens.

  • Windows now close with the same button they open with.

  • Items in the store are now sorted from top to bottom by rarity. Keycards and ammo are always at the top.

  • Light axe attack speed has been increased.

  • Fixed the character ragdoll; it no longer spins after death.

  • Updated the support screen with an email address where players can write to.

  • Drains no longer pass through the player when attacking.

  • Added VFX disappearance to the burial urn if it was recently opened and has no bolts left.

  • The inventory now opens with the I key, friends with P, and items on the ground with G (inventory, party, ground).

  • The Axe tutorial quest has been replaced with a revolver quest. Added a description that killing drains is not mandatory.

  • The duration of most consumables has been increased from 15 to 60 seconds.

  • Added the ability to rotate the camera while using the syringe. The syringe can now be interrupted not only by opening the interface.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where the weapon in the player’s hands would disappear.

  • Fixed a bug where the ritual would give non-functional weapons.

  • Fixed a bug where no more than 2 players could leave in the elevator. Now, everyone who fits can leave.

  • Fixed a bug where the Oscar monster would disappear if it couldn’t reach the player.

  • Fixed a bug with quests that could cause the Training server to crash.

Locations:

  • Faction banners have been added to the map.

  • The hub has been updated (the merchant and their table, pneumatic mail, added a sign for the water tank, collision fixes).

  • The weather phenomena institute has been improved.

  • Fixed some collisions on the map.

  • Reduced the number of monsters near the first storyline quest.

A big thanks to everyone who contributed to Dustland during the closed Beta stage, you’re the GOAT! By the way, remember the raffle announced here? The winners have been randomly chosen and have received their permanent EA access codes to their email addresses (check spam, if you don’t see it).

See you before the dust settles!
