Dungeon of Trials changes
The second anniversary of Dungeon of Trials is approaching, and to celebrate, we're bringing you something new!
After receiving player feedback, we decided to release a patch to make the game more balanced and fun!
We noticed that indeed, some classes were much better than others (I'm looking at you Mage!). But don't worry, no characters will be "nerfed". With the new balance, we hope that underused classes can also shine (finally adventuring parties will remember the Warriors)! Below is a preview of the changes:
Warrior: will start with higher attack power, since at first they could barely deal with basic enemies (and so they were soon dropped after the first run…). Skills that grant “buffs” to allies will also be improved.
Mage: will start with a little more MP (despite being one of the best classes in the game, he is not very useful in the beginning due to his low energy reserve.)
Thief: will have a higher attack gain per level.
Priestess: will receive slightly more HP and Defense per level to compensate for low attack power. Healing skills will be improved a bit.
Monk: the idea behind the Monk was to have a character that was strong in the early stages of the game, because he is not dependent on equipment. But even so, the class ended up being overshadowed by the others. Monk will now receive a significant boost to all his stats at first level and stat gains per level (but still won't benefit from weapon upgrades as he doesn't use any).
Druid: Increased MP and Spell Damage gains per level. The skill “Cure Poison” will restore a little more HP.
Archer: This is perhaps the most versatile class in the game, and it's already pretty strong. She will get a small Attack boost at the first level to make her even stronger! =)
Sorceress: We noticed that having the lowest HP value in the game caused her to be left out a bit in the free DLC “Library of Norliet”. In this dungeon we recommend using characters with magical powers, and as the Mage has more HP, he ended up favored. So the starting HP and HP gain per level will be adjusted.
Knight: Initial HP and Defense will be increased. Attack gain per level will be increased.
Bard: Will receive a small boost to all starting stats. The skill “Healing Song” will restore a little more HP.
We hope that with these changes, the beginning of the game will be less frustrating for some players, and that the game in general will become much more fun. Once again, thank you all so much for the feedback we've received over the last two years, without you none of this would be possible! These changes go live on the anniversary of the Dungeon of Trials, June 25th! If you don't already have the game, now is a great time to get started! Dungeon of Trials will be reduced in price during the Steam Summer Sale! Come face this challenge! Good luck and have fun!
