Ho, beetles!

Thank you everyone for your valuable feedback as we launched Dung Ho! into the world. It’s been just over a week since launch, and we’ve been blown away by all your feedback, bug reports, and general enthusiasm.

With your help, we’ve been hard at work tidying things up, smoothing out the bumps, and polishing the pile. Here’s what we’ve fixed in this latest patch:

Quality of Life Updates:

  • By popular demand, the Dung Ball interaction should now feel less sticky and magnetic - so it should be easier for you to engage and disengage with the Dung Ball!

  • Overhauled the Dung Ball Health HUD so it should be more clear to you when it takes damage.

  • Added indicators for item usage (Throw, Drop, etc.) while items are equipped.

  • Added a small crosshair to assist players while aiming their throwable items.

  • The Root Bridge item now grows faster!

  • Removed safety zone VFX that was obscuring visibility on lower graphic settings.

  • Customization menu now has functional arrows for improved navigation.

  • Repositioned the Begin Journey interact zone for better usability.

New Features:

  • DING DING DING!! (or is it dung dung dung?) We added a boxing ring to the tent so now you can slap your friends to your heart's delight.

  • Added a News Bulletin in the Main Menu and Additional Tips.

  • Added a new Ragdoll Emote! Press 4 or down on your D-Pad to play dead.

  • Victory Music and SFX have been overhauled and celebration time extended. You earned it, beetles!

Level / World Updates:

  • Added some more Lily Pads in large bodies of water.

  • Increased the power and threat of giant moving beasts! Watch out!

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed the Journey Progress HUD that was not updating correctly in Casual mode.

  • Fixed collision on the large termite mounds and camera collision on a few foliage types.

  • Fixing LOD issues with Beetle Faces.

  • Selecting Retry in Casual or Random Journey will now retry that seed, rather than rerolling.

  • Other various fixes and improvements.

Now: Update your games and get rollin'!
