Demo Updated
We just updated the Dryft City Kyngs DEMO! It now allows you to play all of the first chapter, which includes the first Challenge Dryft. This is closer to how the final game will look and feel.
MIGW Steam Event
We're also featured in the Melbourne International Games Week Steam Event! A new dev playthrough video will be streaming during the event - devs magicdweedoo and Sal Fontaine showing off what's new and generally mucking about.

Demo Change Log
There are a ton of updates and improvements to the Demo, including:
Final version of many world, building, UI, character, clothes sprites added
Intro memory flashback sequence that acts as a drifting tutorial
Demo is playable up to the end of the first chapter, including the first Challenge Dryft
You can get fired and re-hired from your job
The way you get paid from your job has changed
Driving controls updated for both keyboard and gamepad
You can own up to 3 rydes
You can buy a new ryde from an NPC at the Saturday Ryde Show in Burbs
You can sell your ryde to Darryn at the ryde show (if you have more than 1 ryde)
Added Apartment Garage area where your car will reappear if it blows up
You can unleash a small dryft boost while drifting
Alternate drive style option available in master pause menu
Burbs layout updated
Pre-race item selection menu
Pre-race track showcase
Ryde stats only reduce once per race from damage (instead of 3 times)
NPCs can use items in a race
Map functionality added, viewable with hotkey
Some new music
Fridges act like treasure chests, which reset their contents daily
Walking up to a locked door on a building will show its opening hours (placeholder graphics)
Vitals GUI icon is colour coded based on how full it is
You will start shaking violently when you are about to pass out from low vitals
Name generator updated (you can now disable either column 2 or 3)
V1 of chapter cards
UI button wiggle effect
Fixed buggy palette swapping
Some palette colours updated
Fixed ryde being able to drive into building doors
Big trees go transparent when you're behind them
NPC favours have descriptions now and delete when completed or failed
Lots of UI tweaks and polish
