changedUnit ClassesTank Units Armored and tough, the tank units are not to be taken lightly. These units are shielded by shield generators throughout the facility. While the generators are active, the tanks take significantly less damage than they do while inactive. Destroying generators is strongly recommended for dealing with these ones.
changedUnit ClassesBoss Units These are the best the overseer has to offer, and they are definitely difficult to deal with. Bosses boast a large health pool, speedy attacks, and powerful punches. Defeating a boss will reward you handsomely.
changedUnit TypesProbes The Overseer's army is mostly comprised of probes. Probes are essentially floating mines that patrol the rooms and corridors of the facility. If you get to close to them, they will become alert - locking onto you and starting a countdown to explosion. You can avoid the explosion by getting far enough away from them or destroying them.
changedUnit TypesSentries These units have more health than their probe counterparts but the trade-off is in their mobility. Sentries are stationary autoturrets which attempt to track your location and will launch grenades toward you. One on one these aren't too challenging, but a few near each other can cause you some issues.
changedUnit TypesWardens The wardens are the best of the best, being the Overseer's generals. These are patrolling beacons which sound alarm on seeing you. All warden effects are active until the warden is defeated. They do not engage in combat directly, but act as an technical unit, capable of many different tasks dependent on their construction: Thrall Causes all force fields to be constantly active. To get through the force fields with the warden thrall is active, you have to be extremely quick after taking one down - as it will immediately power back up. Saboteur Disrupts your navigation system, leaving you blinded without a scanner or minimap so that all units gain the same stealth of the saboteur units. Standard Siphons your power down so that you have less ammunition to fire at enemies, making grenades more useful during their activity. Tank Applies shielding to every unit currently active. Like the tank units, all units will take significantly less damage (including the warden itself) but instead of destroying the generators you must destroy the warden. Boss Commands all active probes to lock onto your position and move toward you. Upon defeat the probes will resume their regular patrol route. Dealing with these guys from a distance as to not activate their alarm is highly recommended.

Want to know what you're up against?

The drone army of the Overseer is comprised of 5 different classed units and 3 different unit types. Here is a breakdown of what to expect going in:

Unit Classes

  • Thrall Units These guys are dumb, slow, bottom of the barrel type units. They are rather disposable and pose little to no threat - amounting to nothing more than easy points.

  • Saboteur Units Beware of these ones - they'll sneak up on you because they are stealthy and do not appear on your minimap. They tend to attack fast as well, and often times you'll find yourself under siege before you realize they're there.

  • Standard Units Being rigid and well built, these units sport a balanced construction. they are the most common class of drone and have all around average skills.

  • Tank Units Armored and tough, the tank units are not to be taken lightly. These units are shielded by shield generators throughout the facility. While the generators are active, the tanks take significantly less damage than they do while inactive. Destroying generators is strongly recommended for dealing with these ones.

  • Boss Units These are the best the overseer has to offer, and they are definitely difficult to deal with. Bosses boast a large health pool, speedy attacks, and powerful punches. Defeating a boss will reward you handsomely.
